Oscar 2014: Samsung e Twitter não param de rir com o maior selfie de todos os tempos

O Oscar tem muitos patrocinadores. 30 segundos de veiculação durante o intervalo da premiação custou 1.8 milhão de dólares esse ano. Porém, nenhuma marca deve estar mais satisfeita do que Samsung e Twitter nesse momento de entrega dos troféus da Academia.

A apresentadora Ellen DeGeneres não largou o seu Galaxy, tirando fotos e tuitando durante o evento. E uma dessas brincadeiras já pode ser considerada o maior selfie de todos os tempos, pelo menos mercadologicamente falando.

Ellen reuniu vários atores para a foto, e ainda desafiou o público a transforma-lá na mensagem mais retweetada do Twitter. Minutos depois do selfie, era impossível até seguir a apresentadora, um bug devido ao alto volume de novos followers.

No momento que escrevo esse post, já são mais 350 mil RT’s e 200 mil favoritadas. E, mesmo com toda a história da pizza, entregue pela Big Mama’s & Papa’s, ficará marcado como o melhor product placement da noite.

Esse ano é a primeira vez que o Oscar é transmitido também via internet, com patrocínio da Samsung, mas talvez eles não imaginassem o montante de cachês milionários reunidos em uma única foto.

[ATUALIZAÇÃO] Nos bastidores, Ellen usa um iPhone, segundo apontado por diversos leitores. Mas isso não deve estragar o merchan, apesar de dar margem pra piada: “Pra usar Galaxy, so? pagando”.
