Beware of Job Scams
Posted in: UncategorizedAsk anyone today what topic or area of concern could possibly be a hot commodity and you will surely get job vacancies as one of them. While we all know of the governing recession and layoffs happening in the world today, it remains that it is also an opportunity to trick people out of their leftover money. Pathetic as it may seem, it just remains that people are desperate to have some form of livelihood for their end, caring less of other’s welfare.
“There’s always people out there willing to take advantage of people’s misery,” said Chris Thetford, director of communications for the Better Business Bureau of Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois. “I’ve never met anyone who had to pay to get a legitimate job.”
Nationally, authorities are finding examples of job scammers and taking action. For example, the Federal Trade Commission filed a federal court complaint in November against a Georgia firm that was charging $120 to $140 for materials it claimed would help applicants pass a U.S. Postal Service qualifying exam.

MINNEAPOLIS (AdAge.com) — Reality's recent ratings surge continued Tuesday, as Fox's "American Idol" and NBC's "The Biggest Loser: Couples" were the top two rated shows on a night when reruns of scripted series outnumbered original episodes. Accordingly, Fox not only won, but outrated its combined competitors with a 9.2/25 rating and share in the ad-centric adult 18-49 demographic, well above NBC (3.7/10), CBS (2.6/7), ABC (1.5/4) and the CW (.6/2).

Posted in: UncategorizedBlackBerry espalha 10 mil gravatas em Milão

Pitching New Business
Posted in: UncategorizedIt’s almost trite to say that there is only one chance to make a good first impression, but it’s true. The day your team pitches that new account is usually the most important day in the relationship. Firms that deliver well-rehearsed pitches, display expert-level knowledge of the prospective client, and present fresh ideas with an aha moment stand the best chance of closing the deal.

I've been enjoying "The Daily Show's" back and forth with CNBC all week, but never did I suspect it would escalate into an outright war between the Peacock and Viacom, involving innocents like Dora the Explorer and Lauren Conrad from "The Hills." Please, media conglomerates, stop the madness before Tina Fey or Sponge Bob gets hurt. There may be a peace negotiation tonight, however, as CNBC's Jim Cramer is scheduled to be a guest on "The Daily Show." Here, General Jon Stewart's latest attack on NBC Universal.
