Se você é um fã fervoroso de Beatles, provavelmente vai simpatizar de imediato com a história de Peter Dean, um beatlemaníaco que sonhava em recriar um poster que pertenceu a John Lennon. Criado por Pablo Fanque, o poster circense de 1843 serviu de inspiração para a música “Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite”, do legendário disco “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”. É claro que ele poderia simplesmente tentar fazer isso digitalmente, mas daí não teria graça. Era preciso usar os métodos tradicionais…
Lennon’s Poster mostra como Peter Dean conseguiu recriar o poster de seu ídolo, com uma pequena ajuda de seus amigos Andy English, especialista em gravuras de madeira, e Graham Bignell, dono de uma enorme coleção de tipografia vitoriana.
