Cricketer’s Arms Lager: Retiring Hurt, Pitch Maintenance

According to DDB, Melbourne, The world would be a better place if more countries played cricket. Because when you take a close look at the game’s 42 Laws laid down in 1788, it’s obvious the good men of the MCC intended cricket to be much more than an excuse for blokes to throw a ball at each other and get sunburnt on a Saturday afternoon. Cricket is a game that teaches young men how to be gentlemen. Indeed, its laws read like a master class in the rules of civil society. A code that was essential in a time when men ran everything. But just as important probably more so now the boundaries are much less well defined. The rewriting of the MCC’s 42 Articles for Cricketers Arms Lager was inspired by our Dads and the blokes they played cricket with; Australian men who applied the game’s spirit of decency, fair play and the regular need to laugh at yourself to every aspect of their lives.

How the multinational corporate kleptocracy and global tax evasion keeps millions of Sub-Saharan Africans trapped in poverty.

Money taken illegally from the developing world is worth 10 times annual global aid budgets, according to a recent study by a Swedish agency, Forum Syd.

Tax evasions by multinational companies in Africa is so vast that one tax analyst believes that if the money were paid, most of the continent would be “developed” by now.

But, lacking a sophisticated tax code, or the people qualified to enforce tax laws, many African countries continue to lose money that could solve most of its financial problems.

Advertisers Will Be Last Line of Defense in Decency Wars

Why memorialize a first-amendment exception if technology will soon render the exception moot?

Meu amigo Optimus Prime

Gropius, precursor do funcionalismo e radicalmente contra o pensamento singular e individualista na arquitetura e no design, conheceu a tal casa, e comentou:

Al Noor Training Centre: See Potential

To create awareness about the Al Noor Training Centre, which helps children with special needs find their place in society. With no budget we had to find an ingenious way to use media and make our message heard. We made innovative use of the globally recognised handicap sign. A vinyl die-cut sticker was designed with the relevant elements. When stuck on the handicap sign, it neatly turned the logo into a magician or basketball player or singer or astronomer. Through this execution we managed to turn disability into potential, simply and effectively without any budget. On the 27th of January, 2011, handicap signs across the city became mini billboards driving home the centre’s message to curious passers-by.
