Meet the Mall Cop
Posted in: UncategorizedKevin James of “Two and a Half Men” has been chosen to headline a new cast in his upcoming film “Paul Blart, Mall Cop”. It was actually a reunion of sorts as James had originally appeared on the CBS Network from 1998 to 2007 with a lead role in the sitcom, “Kings of Queens”.
TV networks and advertisers have tested the use of actors from shows consumers are watching in the commercials that interrupt those programs. The idea is that people armed with DVRs will be less interested in skipping ads willy-nilly when the people they tuned in to see in the first place are the ones cavorting about in the advertising.

Yahoo’s New Chief Is an Unknown to Media, Ad Circles
Posted in: Uncategorized
NEW YORK (AdAge.com) — There are a few things to know about Yahoo's new chief, Carol Bartz, but one thing stands out: She's moving into a company that hasn't really had a strong, operating CEO in quite some time, but if her first public comments are anything to judge by, there is little doubt she's in charge.

CBS Sitcoms Beat Out Fox’s ’24’ Premiere
Posted in: Uncategorized
MINNEAPOLIS (AdAge.com) — It was a case of life imitating art — or maybe the other way around. At about the same time President-elect Barack Obama announced he would eventually close the detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Nielsen released ratings indicating that Sunday's premiere of Fox's "24" had tumbled 30% in the ad-centric 18-to-49 demographic. It seems that both policies and programs that were widely embraced after Sept. 11 may have run their course.

Bartz Mystery Not Cleared Up By LinkedIn Or Facebook
Posted in: UncategorizedWho's Carol Bartz? Don't bother to look for a LinkedIn or a Facebook profile for the reported successor to Jerry Yang as CEO of Yahoo. The 60-year-old has successfully run a tech company, but doesn't appear to use the tools of today's internet exec. While you wouldn't expect the CEO of a public company to use LinkedIn, many CEOs and top execs do have profiles, if nothing else than to understand the networking tools used by the rank and file.

Posted in: UncategorizedAudi | Truth In 24
