Zambezi Creates ‘SXsports Playbook’ to Help Navigate SXSW Events

ZambeziThis year, for the first time ever, there will be a sports component to SXSW in Austin, Texas. To celebrate this, and to help festival goers select from the seemingly endless list of panels, LA-based sports and entertainment creative shop Zambezi created “SXsports Playbook.”

SXsports Playbook is a website where visitors fill out a survey of 12 either/or questions. At the conclusion of the survey, users are “directed to one of five curated panel groupings comprised of a ‘must-see’ sports lineup to suit their individual interests (and maybe even an option to avoid them altogether).” It’s a formula we’ve seen plenty of times before, but this time it just may end up being useful for those caught navigating the labyrinth of events at SXSW. Give it a try for yourself if you’re headed to SXSW, and stick around for credits after the jump. continued…

Trailer for a Horror Movie Called Schizo Suddenly Becomes Something Else Entirely

Here's a clever ad that starts off as a preview for a horror movie called Schizo and ends with Glenn Close talking about BringChange2Mind, the organization she founded.

Watch the video for more. Since horror movies often use mental illness as an easy diagnosis for their villains, not to mention the number of fictional serial killers who wear plaid shirts, the juxtaposition here is rather astute.

Assista ao primeiro trailer de “Sin City – A Dame to Kill For”

Jimmy Fallon Wants a Truck; Who’s Going to Get His Money?

Chevrolet waded into the waters early Thursday morning, telling the late-night host that a “Silverado would look nice” in his driveway.

Chrysler Group’s Ram brand went all in and created #GUTSGLORYFallon on Twitter, a medium that Fallon has used successfully on “Late Night” and now on “The Tonight Show,” and sent him messages throughout Thursday.

The brand even pulled up outside 30 Rockefeller Center in New York, where “The Tonight Show” is taped, in a silver Hemi-powered 2014 Ram 1500 crew cab with a sign on the back that read, “Big enough, Jimmy? Test it out.”

Amy Poehler Shines as Boss in Chandelier’s New Old Navy Spot

Amy Poehler shines as a boss with a pampered dog and an obsession with a prospective employee’s pants in Chandelier’s new spot for Old Navy, created in conjunction with Rock Paper Scissors and Sonic Union.

In the spot, the Parks and Recreation star/SNL alum Poehler is supposed to be conducting a job interview, but can’t get over the applicants’ Old Navy Pixie Pants. “Are all these questions going to be about my pants?” the girl asks. To which Poehler responds, “Uh, this is a law firm, so yes.”

When Poehler learns that the pants are only $25 and come with a free top, she hires the girl on the spot so that she can run out and buy a pair. All this is actually a good deal funnier than that synopsis sounds, thanks to Poehler’s signature deadpan humor. Poehler also helped write and direct the spot, which helps explain how it works so well with her brand of comedy. The :30 spot doesn’t waste any time getting to the funny, either, as Poehler opens the ad with a great throwaway line. Check it out for yourself above, and stick around for credits after the jump.

Microsoft Agency Review Pushes on Despite Marketing Leadership Shakeup

Microsoft’s massive global agency review is moving right along despite marketing leadership changes that moved Mark Penn, a key decision-maker in the review, to a chief strategy officer role and returned Chris Capossela to the role of chief marketing officer.

Participating agencies had their first meeting with the tech giant this week in D.C., where Mr. Penn is based, according to people familiar with the matter. Next are regional meetings in Shanghai and London. Final presentations are set for April 9 and 10 in the U.S.

The final presentations were originally expected to happen in D.C., but they’re now moving to the Seattle area, people familiar with the matter said. That’s where Mr. Capossela, a 23-year Microsoft vet who served in a top marketing role between 2011 and 2013, is based.
