Google cria guia com princípios de design para tentar salvar a cara feia do Android

Meus amigos donos de Android (a.k.a. Luiz Yassuda) defendem a plataforma com unhas e dentes, alegam que eu sou vendido ao sistema, que o smartphone deles faz tudo que o iPhone faz e mais um pouco, etc e tal. Mas concorde comigo, o bicho é feio hein?

Tem aplicativo pra Android que parece aqueles softwares de fundo de quintal pra gestão de supermercado. Até o Google sabe disso, e resolveu criar um guia com princípios de design e a visão criativa da empresa.

O site traz uma série de estilos, padrões e grids para que os desenvolvedores otimizem os layouts de suas aplicações para Android, colaborando com o mundo mobile que o Google imaginou.

“Moonrise Kingdom”, novo filme de Wes Anderson, já tem trailer

Saiu ontem o trailer de “Moonrise Kingdom”, o novo filme do diretor preferido dos publicitários de camisa xadrez é óculos desproporcional: Wes Anderson.

A história se passa no verão de 1965 e acompanha um casal de namorados de apenas doze anos de idade que, depois de um pacto secreto, resolvem fugir da cidade na Nova Inglaterra.

O elenco já vale o ingresso, com Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton e Jason Schwartzman.

Mas a pergunta que não vai nos abandonar o dia todo é: Onde diabos está o Owen Wilson?

Janela da Samsung aproxima ainda mais a nossa realidade de “Minority Report”

Eu já perdi a conta de quantas vezes “Minority Report” foi citado quando alguma nova tecnologia aparece. Me parece claro que estamos caminhando para um mundo de interação com telas como foi apresentado no filme de Steven Spielberg, mas de fato nada ainda funciona pra gente como na vida do Tom Cruise.

Porém, a Transparent Smart Window que a Samsung apresentou na CES é mais um grande avanço para o nosso desejado mundo sci-fi. Você transforma sua janela em desktop, e não se parece nada com aquelas projeções que temos visto ultimamente.

E por mais aplicações que isso pode ter, o quão legal é o recurso de fechar a janela como mostrando no vídeo acima?

In the latest from Toronto agency Open for Environmental Defence, national TV and online ads alert Canadians to the dangerous, undisclosed, substances in their cosmetics. The spot is directed by Aleysa Young of Partners Film. Putting on makeup in the morning should not be a dangerous game. In a cheeky new ad campaign launched today, Environmental Defence, the environmental organization who led the charge for the ban on Bisphenol A (BPA) in baby bottles alerts Canadians to the many cancer-causing, hormone-disrupting and allergy-inducing substances contained in the personal care products they use every day. The campaign urges the federal government to ban harmful ingredients in cosmetics and to give the Canadian beauty industry a long overdue makeover.
