Um dia desses eu assisti “30 Dias de Noite”, filme baseado na HQ criada por Steve Niles, que se passa em Barrow, uma pequena cidade no Alaska que passa exatas quatro semanas sem ver a luz do sol durante o inverno.

Lá em Barrow, as pessoas são atacadas por vampiros alucinados, mas na vida real elas bebem Tropicana. Isso porque a nova campanha da bebida, pertencente a PepsiCo., resolveu levar o “sol” para os habitantes de Inuvik, no Ártico Canadense depois de 31 dias no escuro.

A cidade, de apenas 3500 moradores, presenciou a subida de um balão de hélio com 36 pés de altura, para iluminar o local, celebrar a volta do sol, e claro, beber Tropicana. Ação foi realizada no dia 9 de janeiro, e registrada em estilo documental, da início a campanha chamada “Brighter Mornings for Brighter Days”.

O comercial de 1 minuto ainda assina com a página da marca no Facebook, e promete conteúdo extra na internet sobre os acontecimentos e reações em Inuvik, no que a agência chama de “expedition marketing”.

A criação é da BBDO Canada, com produção da Film Group e Radke Film.
