O site de perguntas e respostas, Quora, anunciou recentemente que está lançando um novo produto: plataforma de blog. Além de postar e responder perguntas, o usuário agora pode manter seu próprio blog dentro do Quora.

“O site é um poderoso sistema de distribuição para blogueiros porque os posts serão incluídos quando usuários pesquisarem perguntas, tópicos ou feeds personalizados” – Marc Bodnick, blog Quora

Quora pretende se tornar um lugar onde milhões de pessoas entram para aprender sobre algo e compartilhar o que sabem. Os usuários ativos estão em uma média de 30 mil visualizações mensais e 350 mil anuais. Os mais ativos, 90 mil visualizações mensais e 1 milhão anual.

As respostas no site muitas vezes se tornaram virais. Usuários ativos costumam postar parte de seus próprios blogs como respostas às perguntas, o que fez a startup investir nesse potencial.

Sabendo que 25% do tráfego para o site é mobile, o blog Quora também está disponíveis via aplicativo para iPhone, com editor de texto mobile.

MAD School: Free Ice Cream

Constrained by budget, resources and lack of marketing leads, MAD (short for Marketing, Advertising and Design; a diploma offered by Chatsworth Medi@rt Academy) pulled a risqué, low-budget marketing stunt to raise awareness: by raiding the open houses of Temasek, Republic and Ngee Ann Polytechnics; and Lasalle and NAFA, during their recruitment drives. They gave free ice cream in exchange for “Likes” on CMA’s Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/cma.academy. The stunt was an integrated, mobile digital activation where tablets and phones were used to gain on-the-spot “Likes”. Participants stood a chance to win movie tickets by posing with their maddest expressions, and getting as many “Likes” on their photo. All to direct traffic and engage new fans on the FB page for a viral movement. We were confronted by security, told to leave and were escorted out of the premises on many occasions. All because we’re MAD.
