NEW YORK (AdAge.com) — Microsoft has reorganized its central marketing group and among the changes is the naming of a chief creative officer. Gayle Troberman, a 13-year veteran of the Redmond, Wash.-based software company, has been named to the position, which is still a relatively rare one among client-marketers.

É comum hospedar games em redes sociais, na Holanda. Não sendo diferente, a Pringles de lá resolveu chamar a atenção dos mais jovens com um advergame hospedado na Hyves, a rede social mais popular do país.

O “Xtreme Gladiatoral Challenge” serve como suporte para a campanha de uma linha de novos sabores (muito mais “hot”) de seu viciante snack.

Caso o usuário seja membro da rede social, ele é transportado para uma arena ao estilo “Street Fighter“, onde terá que lutar contra 4 diferentes gladiadoras, cada uma representando um dos novos sabores de Pringles.

Eu tive que me tornar membro da Hyves só para testar o game. A experiência foi um pouco desastrosa, principalmente por não entender absolutamente nada de ‘dutch’.

Apesar dele não oferecer uma jogabilidade surpreendente, o “Xtreme Gladiatoral Challenge” dá a chance de compartilhar funções e pontuações com outros membros da rede social. E quem pontuar mais ganha um passeio de skydive, o que é um bom incentivo.

Enfim, o que vale mesmo é a intenção da marca em prover uma plataforma adicional e divertida aos consumidores.
