Um dos grandes conceitos da premiada e extensa campanha de lançamento de “Halo 3″, em 2007, era trazer o universo do game para a realidade. É claro que a comunicação deveria atingir os hard-gamers e fãs da série, mas mais do que isso, nasceu com o objetivo de apresentar aos jogadores casuais uma história com emoção, personagens fortes e densidade.

Para o seu “Assassin’s Creed II”, a Ubisoft também quer chamar atenção daqueles que não jogaram o game original, ao mesmo tempo em que oferece uma fantástica prévia para os fãs. Assim é “Assassin’s Creed: Lineage”, um curta-metragem dividido em três partes, que começou a ser publicado no YouTube no final de outubro.

Agora, a Ubisoft liberou a versão na integra, com mais de 35 minutos de duração. A direção é do canadense Yves Simoneau, com produção da Hyrbide Technologies. Pode chamar de trailer, de filme, de entretenimento, de introdução, ou o que preferir, mas a principal função é: ser um comercial gigante para um jogo de videogame.

“Assassin’s Creed II” foi lançado hoje, para Xbox 360 e Playstation 3. Mesmo que você não se interesse, vale o play no vídeo abaixo, pelo menos para sentir o nível da produção.

A cobertura é nacional e o usuário pode escolher até quatro cidades. E o aplicativo tem abordagens diferentes para homens e mulheres, coisa difícil de ver hoje em dia.
O que me agradou bastante é que, ao invés de utilizar meios tradicionais de comunicar o produto, a Skol é inserida no contexto/conteúdo da brincadeira de modo totalmente pertinente.
Você já encontra a Garota do Tempo na tab do MSN e em alguns portais brazucas.
A promessa é que haja, em muito breve, a inclusão de um widget para desktop e um aplicativo de iPhone.
