O mercado publicitário dos EUA tomou um choque ontem com notícia de que o Hulu, o portal de vídeos online, criado para concorrer com Youtube, irá veicular uma propaganda durante do Superbowl 09′.
A surpresa veio à tona porque até então nenhum portal da internet havia anunciado no espaço comercial mais caro da televisão mundial.
Acontece que o Hulu é parceiro da NBC, a emissora de TV que irá transmitir o jogo da final do campeonato de futebol americano, oferece vídeos inteiros (gratuitamente) aos usuários do Hulu.
Talvez tenha tido uma negociação entre as partes para se reduzir o custo (US$3 milhões) do espaço.
Informando a imprensa local, o portal de vídeos diz que não há lugar melhor do que Superbowl para revelar o seu segredo.
O misterioso segredo seria: “Bom conteúdo oferecido para você assistir quando quiser – gratuitamente“. Pelo menos é o que estão especulando.

To promote “Bring Your Kids To Work Day,” childlike art was hand-drawn on acetate sheets, which were trimmed to fit the screens. Building security secretly unlocked over 500 offices the night before so the acetate sheets could be affixed to everyone’s computer monitor.
