The Guardian leva interatividade à vista panorâmica do topo de Londres

The Guardian lançou um aplicativo online em seu site que permite ao usuário apreciar a vista de Londres de seu mais alto edifício, The Shard, e de forma interativa, a brincar com o que a cidade tem a oferecer.

Fazendo uso de fotografias de 360 graus e super detalhadas do fotógrafo Will Pearson, o aplicativo é lançado com um filme introdutório, que leva o usuário do elevador do The Shard ao topo da cidade.

Ao chegar virtualmente na plataforma panorâmica, é só seguir as intruções na tela, intuitivamente estruturada com controles comuns de zoom, lateral e vertical.

Além da vista que pode ser vista de dia e de noite, a cidade se abre de forma interativa e imersiva através de links. Os ícones azuis trazem informações sobre pontos-chave de Londres. Bacardi Appoints Andy Gibson as New Chief Marketing Officer

Bacardi Limited has named veteran booze marketer Andy Gibson as its new chief marketing officer, replacing Silvia Lagnado, who left the company at the end of 2012.

Mr. Gibson, 44, most recently led marketing for Carlton United Brewers in Australia, part of Foster’s Group Limited. At the brewer, Mr. Gibson “oversaw the strategic reframing of Australia’s biggest beer brand, Victoria Bitter, to turn a decade of decline back into growth over the first quarter of its implementation,” Bacardi said in a statement. Previously he worked at spirits giant Diageo for 13 years in a variety of positions across the globe.

Mr. Gibson, who starts in late April at Bacardi’s global brands headquarters in London, will report directly to CEO Ed Shirley. Mr. Shirley, who joined the company last year from Procter & Gamble, has overseen a wave of marketing changes at Bacardi. Last month, Bacardi launched an agency review for its etimated estimated $130 million media buying and planning business.

The Five Best Super Bowl Ads of 2013

We have to say we’re in complete agreement with Tim Nudd over at AdWeek whose top five Super Bowl ad picks mirror ours exactly. Now, picking the top five Super Bowl ads, of course, is pure speculation and opinion because, of course, the only thing that really matters is did the ad sell any product. And we certainly won’t know that for a while, if ever.

That minor detail aside, here are our (and Tim’s) top five Super Bowl advertising picks for 2013.

Taco Bell Viva Young

The work, which follows the usually-always-humorous strategy of old people doing young things, appeals to a broad demographic swath in that younger folks can chuckle at their own antics as actioned by the octogenarians. And older folks can vicariously relive their own youthful antics from back in the day. Created by Deutsch.

Oreo Whisper Fight/Dark Dunk

Oreo gets a spot on this list not so much for its ad, though it was very entertaining and “on brand” but for its real-time ad in reaction to the power outage during the game. Wieden + Kennedy created the ad and 360i was behind the power outage ad.

Samsung’s The Next Big Thing

The ad, which features Seth Rogan, Paul Rudd and Bob Odenkirk, is a brilliant riff on current advertising tactics with specific callouts to the over use of Psy, sending people into space ala Axe, talking babies, crowdsourcing…and even celebrity endorsement by LeBron James who makes an appearance on a Samgsung tablet. Budweiser Clydesdales Brotherhood

In this Budweiser Clydesdale Super Bowl ad, set to the tune of Stevie Nicks’ Landslide, we witness the journey of a baby Clydesdale from birth on a farm to parade work in Chicago. The spot, created by Anomoly, celebrates the return of the Clydesldales to front and center having, for the past few years, been relegated to supporting roles.

Ram Farmer

The late Paul Harvey’s famed So God Made A Farmer speech was incorporated into the ad created by The Richards Group. The words come from a speech Harvey gave in 1978 at the National FFA Convention. The speech is moving and the images that accompany truly encapsulate the message; there are some people out there who work really hard for little money and out of love for their craft. Just brilliant work.

There were some accusations the ad is a copy of a Farms.com video but it turns out Chrysler is working with the organization to support the Future Farmers of America and the Farms.com video gives a nod to the Ram Truck ad.

Honorable Mention

We give honorable mention to the Doritos Goat 4 Sale ad purely for its over-the-top craziness and that screaming goat! And to Jeep for its message to the military delivered by Oprah.

Here’s Will Ferrell’s Old Milwaukee Super Bowl Ad

This year’s Super Bowl will be dubbed The Year of the Kiss. Why? Well two always makes a trend, right? We had Bar Refaeli suck face with a geek in a GoDaddy commercial. And we had Will Ferrell, seemingly on his way home from basketball practice, sucking face with an Asian lady on a bus.

The spot aired in Sherman, TX; Ardmore, OK and Glendive, MT. In true clandestine form, the spot isn’t even on Old Milwaukee’s YouTube channel. A few viewers captured it on their own after, perhaps, being tipped where and when it would air.

Super Bowl 47: Budweiser lidera o top 10 do AdMeter

Há mais de 20 anos, o USA Today mantém o AdMeter com o objetivo de apontar os comerciais mais populares do Super Bowl. Este ano, pela primeira vez, o painel foi aberto a qualquer pessoa que quisesse votar, o que resultou na participação de mais de 7 mil pessoas e a escolha de Brotherhood, da Budweiser, como o melhor comercial do evento. Apesar de batida, a ótima execução da história de amizade de um homem e um cavalo caiu no gosto dos americanos.

Ao longo do jogo vencido pelos Baltimore Ravens foram exibidos 54 comerciais. Apesar de ser considerado uma espécie de gala da publicidade norte-americana, a participação de algumas marcas no Super Bowl lembra um pouco aquelas atrizes que escolhem uma roupa horrível para ir ao Oscar e faz a gente pensar: what the fuck?!

Farmer, o belíssimo comercial da Wieden+Kennedy para a Chrysler ficou em terceiro lugar na votação, enquanto Doritos emplacou Fashionista Dad e Goat 4 Sale em quarto e sétimo lugares, respectivamente. Os bebês espaciais da Kia e o baile de formatura da Audi ficaram na sexta e décima posições.

Mas entre 54 comerciais, qual foi o que desagradou em cheio os eleitores do painel? Perfect Match, da GoDaddy.co, estrelado pela modelo Bar Refaeli.
