‘Breathtaking’ Is One Word for Purported Arnell Pepsi Doc


NEW YORK (Adage.com) — Over the past 24 hours, adland has been abuzz about "Breathtaking," a 27-page document purported to be the thinking behind Arnell Group's recent revamping of Pepsi-Cola's logo. Littered as it is with marketing jargon, images of yin-yangs, mobius strips and Da Vinci's Vitruvian man, you'll maybe wonder whether Michael Phelps wasn't the only one hitting that bong.

Antes mesmo do início da quinta temporada de “Lost”, a ABC deu algumas pistas sobre a existência de uma empresa fictícia chamada Ajira Airways, incluindo um outdoor “rasgado” em Los Angeles.

Só que a companhia área não tinha despertado tanto a atenção dos fãs da série até quinta passada, quando foi exibido o episódio “The Little Prince”. Vou contar abaixo de forma bem resumida, sem revelar spoilers para quem ainda não assistiu. Se quiser saber mais, acesse o verbete na Lostpedia.

Em uma das cenas do último episódio, uma garrafa d’água com a marca da Ajira Airways é encontrada dentro de um barco. Além de uma única frase de Juliet, nada mais é falado a respeito da companhia.

Só que quem acompanha “Lost” sabe que nada é por acaso. Uma busca simples pelo nome da empresa já leva direto para o site ajiraairways.com, com todo tipo de informação e até vídeos promocionais da empresa.

A página da Ajira Airways é repleta de easter eggs, com frases escondidas no código fonte, coordenadas secretas no código de barras de uma passagem aérea, anagramas utilizando siglas de aeroportos, etc.
Todos esses dados, quando descobertos, podem ser utilizados para preencher uma reserva de vôo. Se feito de maneira correta, abre a página de escolhe de assentos, e mais uma vez, se selecionados corretamente, revelam fotos e vídeos sobre os passageiros.
