New Harrison Ford PSA is downright painful

I did not need to see Harrison Ford getting his chest waxed for this PSA. In fact, I’m tempted to chop down a bit of the rainforest to protest this Conservation.org spot. It doesn’t help that, logically speaking, the pain he feels from … ugh … waxing is far more immediate than that felt by clear-cutting- related carbon emissions in South America. That settled, let’s never talk about this again.

Max Motors in Butler, Missouri offer free gun with each car purchase.

File under interesting giveaway: A car dealership in the United States is offering a free handgun with every vehicle sold.

Customers can choose between a gun or a $250 (£125) gas card, but most so far have chosen the gun.
Owner Mark Muller said: “We’re just damn glad to live in a free country where you can have a gun if you want to.”
[snip]
Mr Muller said that every buyer so far “except one guy from Canada and one old guy” chose the gun, rather than the gas card.

Ingesting a little biofuel surely can’t hurt

Drinkinggas Feathers have been ruffled by Swedish bus-company ads that show kids drinking from gas pumps—images that were meant to send the message that the company uses biofuels that are practically safe enough to drink. Says one critic: “Children may be inspired by the ads to put a nozzle into their mouth, and if it is not rapeseed oil, then it can be catastrophic.” Looking at the image above, I wonder if children might be inspired by the ads to do some other controversial stuff, too.

The skull that makes any home a kingdom

Crystal_skull_projector_2
I’m a bit baffled by this bit of merchandising for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but I have to admit it’s awesome on some intrinsic level. The Crystal Skull Adventure Projector appears to be little more than a pimped-out View-Master for archeological scenes, with the obvious distinction that it’s also a projector. Oh, and it’s a frickin’ skull. If you’ve still got extra cash around after dropping $39.99 on one Indiana Jones skull, why not drop $2,600 on another? Via OhGizmo.
