Amazon: Graduation

Looking at old photos has the unique ability to take us back to a particular moment in time, evoking memories and nostalgia in a visceral way.

Entitled ‘Graduation’, the heartwarming film brings to life the notion of ‘memories delivered’, evoking not only what a treasured memory looks like, but what it feels like. The 15-second spot follows a boy preparing to celebrate the first graduation in the family. Whilst viewers are led to believe it will be him donning the graduation cap, it’s revealed that it is in fact his mother who they are celebrating. Later in his room, the son reflects on the occasion, asking Alexa to ‘show me mum’s graduation photos.’

Dubai Design District: Distant Neighbours

Dubai Design District (d3) and Serviceplan Middle East have collaborated to create Distant Neighbours, a unique digital project on Instagram, to connect the world under one Insta-address.
The platform reflects urban society during a time of social distancing. It aims to help us overcome loneliness and isolation experienced during the COVID-19 global health crisis by inviting everyone to provide a snapshot of their home.

Argentina-based artist Michelle Peric, who studied in Dubai, turns this image into an illustration which becomes part of the Distant Neighbours apartment block, uniting people from all over the world as distant neighbours in an ever-evolving virtual residential tower.

Distant Neighbours uses the Instagram grid to create the impression of a residential tower. Silhouetted illustrations are commissioned from Peric to use as cover pictures, bringing to life the concept of living under the same roof.

Nordax Bank: The social distancing wreath

The ongoing pandemic has without a doubt turned everything upside down and our ways of socializing have changed drastically. To help Swedes celebrate their favorite holiday, while still staying safe and socially distanced, Swedish Nordax Bank created Distanskransen – a two meter in diameter midsummer floral wreath* which makes sure that everyone remains safely distanced from one another, while dancing around the pole or while enjoying the traditional midsummer feast.

In order to highlight this, we combined movie scenes with reflections of illuminated objects from living rooms proving that it’s better to watch movies without reflections.

Prime Video: Parental Control

The Amazon film and video streaming platform, Prime Video, with its agency, Herezie, launched a campaign promoting its parental control settings. This is a very important feature for many parents, allowing them to restrict access to unsuitable content for their children. With shows like The Man in the High Castle [18+], Fleabag [18+] Jack Ryan [18+] and The Boys [18+], part of the Prime Video catalogue remains inaccessible to its younger members…and that’s exactly who they asked to create the campaign. Jade (6), Thiago (5) et Marilou (6), three young Prime Video members, were asked to use their imaginations and draw what the titles of some Prime Video Original series meant to them. Controversial, violent series containing vulgarity, reserved for an adult audience [16+] [18+]… basically series they quite simply haven’t been able to watch. Each drawing will be the subject of a film retracing the child’s experience and focusing on their imagination, thankfully protected by the Prime Video parental control. The observation of a human truth in the form of 3 video capsules available on the brand’s website and social media channels. These same drawings will also be the subject of an OOH campaign around Paris, promoting three Amazon Original shows. The children will therefore become the youngest art directors in the history of Prime Video and will be credited for the campaign. Their work will be displayed next to the real posters of the series, thus drawing a parallel between the reality of the series and children’s interpretations of them.

Trygg-Hansa: Beach Mode

In Sweden, drowning is the most common fatal accident among children between the ages of one and six and is often the result of lacking parental supervision. Swedes spend an average of 3.5 hours using mobile phones every day, and scrolling on a mobile phone on the beach could end in tragedy. Drowning can be quick and is often silent. Insurance company Trygg-Hansa is now launching the Badläge (Beach Mode) initiative, aimed at reducing the number of near-drowning accidents and to prevent children from drowning. Through Badläge, Trygg-Hansa wants to encourage parents to keep an eye on their children on the beach by turning Badläge on, both mentally and in their mobile phone. When Trygg-Hansa’s new Badläge app is activated, the phone can only be used for emergency calls and it becomes easier to focus on the children. Badläge (Beach Mode) is available for Android devices on the Swedish market. Unlike flight mode, Badläge blocks apps when activated. It still allows Swedish emergency calls in case of an emergency. When Badläge is deactivated, the phone works normally and you can see missed calls, messages and notifications.

The Who, Where and How of Cannabis Consumers

Every leader who thinks it’s their company’s responsibility to address it–and not their own. As leaders, this is not the time to stay silent. It’s about action that starts…
