A criação da TBWA/RAAD Dubai para a Red Tomato Pizza tem direção de arte interativa brasileira, assinada por Rafael Guida. Sem contar que faria um enorme sucesso por aqui.

Basicamente, quando o usuário aperta o botão de emergência, o pedido pré-configurado é acionado na pizzaria. O cliente, então, recebe um SMS confirmando que o pedido foi recebido (e dando a opção de cancelamento, caso ele tenha sido feito por engano). Para que o serviço funcione, entretanto, é necessário um celular com conexão bluetooth.

Einstein nos ensinou que o tempo é relativo. E já que ele não pode ser medido sempre do mesmo modo, o McDonald’s lá de Varsóvia nos oferece um jeito interessante de fazer este cálculo: comida. Ou, melhor dizendo, a quantidade de comida que dá para saborear antes do seu trem partir.

Uma bela ideia de como usar um meio com pertinencia e ainda prestar um serviço – ainda que seja em benefício próprio – para os passageiros. Além do cálculo em hamburgers, batatas e refrigerantes, o painel ainda avisa possíveis atrasos e mudanças.

Nesse curta-documentário, John Benet é um produtor de publicidade americano em Xangai, que recebe a missão de produzir uma série de comerciais para o McDonald’s na China.

O tema parece simples, mas em 15 minutos Benet levanta uma variedade de questões de forma fascinante, começando pela sua conclusão pessimista da carreira em publicidade, depois de 23 anos na ativa, e da dificuldade em encontrar valor em seu trabalho.

Balanceando humor, cinismo e melancolia na medida ideal, “Sunshine” aborda o valor da criatividade e as diferenças culturais entre ocidente e oriente, mostrando um país em demolição na marcha pelo progresso.

Em uma das muitas frases marcantes, John conclui:

“Você pode ter uma carreira inteira em publicidade sem necessariamente conseguir amarrar um monte de pensamentos juntos.”

Jammers Swarm NATO HQ

Indignados abroad prepare for #OCCUPYCHICAGO.

Yesterday, several hundred indignados, culture jammers and occupiers from across Europe swarmed the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) headquarters in Brussels in a bold attempt to shut it down.

Organizers explained that the action was a prelude to #OCCUPYCHICAGO and an early preview of the anarchic swarms that will disrupt May’s NATO summit. “Where peace is at stake, nonviolent intervention is necessary,” a press release said.

According to the AFP, occupiers ran across fields and climbed fences leading to the NATO compound chanting “NATO Game Over” and “We want peace now.” They were blocked by a “large police presence” and 483 nonviolent occupiers were arrested.
