Posted in: UncategorizedTank SUVs – Dillon Aero SUV for Road Rage (VIDEO)
Posted in: Uncategorized (TrendHunter.com) The Dillon Aero SUV is a government-issue GMC Yukon XL equipped with a Dillon Gatling gun. Probably not such a good idea to get one if you have trouble with road rage.
How many times have you raced down the freeway in a rush, late as hell, and suddenly traffic comes to a complete stop because some …

The 20-Minute Toronto Makeover takes place th…
Fake Posters As Drug Ads – Zyrtec NYC Guerrilla Campaign
Posted in: Uncategorized (TrendHunter.com) A first glimpse at this post would leave you thinking you’d simply spotted a home-made missing pet ad, but this Zyrtec ad is actually a quite clever piece of guerrilla marketing.
The viral drug ads appear around New York City and are obviously meant to defame competitor brand Claritin.
The print…

Posted in: UncategorizedMeat Loaf and Tiffany belt it out for AT&T
Posted in: UncategorizedMeat Loaf has always been comfortable with his flavor of bombastic self-parody, but this commercial for the AT&T GoPhone takes it to Shatner-esque proportions. I’m honestly of two minds about this ad. On the one hand, it’s as awful as anything associated with Meat Loaf’s music would be. On the other hand, he and his fake family (including Tiffany, playing Mom) look like they’re having the time of their lives singing part of “Paradise By the Dashboard Light†together. Maybe this duality was all a clever plan to keep me from wondering how the GoPhone actually works.

SuperDon obliterates Asian cars, good taste
Posted in: UncategorizedDon Peterson of South Oak Dodge in Matteson, Ill., will not win any cultural sensitivity awards with this commercial, in which he dresses up as SuperDon and vanquishes the Asian car makers, personified by a shouting, spinning Sumo wrestler. Then again, if you buy a car from a guy in a SuperDon suit, you only have yourself to blame.

Posted in: UncategorizedMercedes Benz wants to stop traffic – long copy billboard.
Posted in: UncategorizedNot sure what to make of this exactly, does Mercedes Benz want to kill their customers by whiplash, or are traffic jams so common where this billboard exists that there is simply nothing else to do but ponder their copy? Either way Colenso BBDO, Auckland decided to get all philosophical on a billboard in New Zealand when launching their new Mercedes-Benz campaign. Fascinating. 😉
Branding reaches new heights with Flogos
Posted in: Uncategorized Since we’re doing such a good job salting the earth with ads, it’s time to try the skies again. Nowadays we’re using “Flogos,†a modern take on skywriting that combines “a mixture of soap-based foams and lighter-than-air gases such as helium†and shoots them out of a retooled artificial-snow machine in the shape of popular logos (peace signs, sure, but also corporate identities). These things generally float at around 200 feet or so, but they can apparently rise as high as 20,000 feet. They’re environmentally friendly, as far as anyone knows, and the longest they remain intact is an hour. But one wonders what the FAA would have to say about it.

Jeff Goldblum, exceedingly drunk switcher
Posted in: UncategorizedHere’s an old Apple ad with Jeff Goldblum that’s been slowed down to the point where he seems wasted. Maybe the same thing happened to Ellen Feiss. Via Cynical-C.
