Neural magazine issue 29 is out

0aneural29.jpgThe latest Neural magazine is available in the best book shops. This issue is dedicated to new media art in China. It contains an essay by Timothy Murray on The Paradox of Chinese Art in the Age of Technology, another by Brian Holmes on China urbanism, industrialization and culture, a review of the 11th Microwave festival in Hong Kong, a presentation of the online project The Great Firewall of China, etc.

There are book and CD/ DVD reviews, highlights on various musical, artistic or activists projects and as usual, chief redactor Alessandro Ludovico has carried out a series of interviews, this time with 8gg, Yao Bin, Zen Lu, my pals at we-need-money-not-art and i have been been submitted to some parallels quizzes, etc.

Now you’ll know what to answer when someone asks you “I keep reading about contemporary art in China but btw, what is happening in the field of new media art over there?”

cnts.cl now diegoquintana.com

Finally after a few weeks of hard work, I’ve changed my not-so-catchy cnts.cl to the more logical DiegoQuintana.com.

This implies several changes.

First: The website now opens directly with my portfolio, now the blog is a sub-section of the entire website. This is because I’m trying to further promote what I do over what I write about.

Second: You’ll notice that the site is now in english by default. You’ll have to choose the spanish option to view in that language. This is because, although I’m aware that most my visitors are spanish-speaking, I think it’s necessary to sart developing a more global market around my website and its content.

Third: The obvious. The visuals. I’ve fully changed the website’s visual style to something a bit more fresh and modern.

That’s the main thing. However if you start messing around you’ll find a few details I’ve been putting some effort on such as the contact form and other few catchy ideas.

Even so, this is Beta of my website. There are still a few flaws regarding translation and some pagination issues. Therefore, if you stumble upon any kind of error or misplaced links, I’d be more than thankful to have you contact me through the form above. Now it’s much easier to do so, or if you prefer you can email me at hello@diegoquintana.com.

I’d appreciate any kind of critiques, comments or tips. Everything is welcome.

Thanks you very much and enjoy DiegoQuintana.com.
