Well, damn! Who knew choosing an eyeglass retailer had anything to do with adoption?

(TrendHunter.com) With the never ending increase in gas prices, people have started to think about fuel alternatives. E-Fuel Corporation, a company in California, has introduced the EFuel 100 MicroFueler, a device that weighs about 200 pounds, that uses 110 or 220 volt power supply and a wastewater drain that is jus…
(TrendHunter.com) Designer Betsey Johnson put out this handbag collection called “Call Me, Betsey.”
Obviously the eccentric Betsey got her inspiration from retro rotary phones. You can see this motif all over the colorful, juvenile-oriented products. I favor the little blue plastic hand bag because it reminds me of…
(TrendHunter.com) My suspicion radar went off recently when Trendhunter featured a recent YouTube viral video, Guys backflip into jeans , when I saw it had been uploaded by a new username hosting only this video.
Now I am happy to find I was not the only skeptical one. Gawker brands it as a stealth ad for Levi’s je…
(TrendHunter.com) My favorite TrendHunter, Lourdes recently shared a truly disgusting and troubling (for anyone with insect phobia) campaign with us that illustrated the importance of hand sanitizers through the use of insects. These new print ads for Carre Fresh follow a similarly disgusting, but less creepy formula…
Here is a marketing idea I hope NEVER becomes a popular trend.
If there ever was a picture worth a thousand words, this could be it. I was mortified when I saw it, and for the record, I’m not a vegetarian.
The “Free Range Whole Human” was packaged in plastic wrap, in the posture of a Thanksgiving…
You’d think with $25,000 up for grabs and with industry creatives having a “leg up” on the competition, there’d be a flood of industry types entering Budget’s Flip for Budget video contest.
At some point, everyone — at least everyone in advertising — has wondered what daily life must be like for those baritone voice talents. (I can personally vouch for the fact that Hal Douglas really does talk like that.) Now their secret lives are revealed, thanks to sketch comedy troupe POYKPAC. Via Presurfer.

(TrendHunter.com) Godfrey Deeny, the blossoming talent behind the Givenchy label, found divine inspiration for his fall/winter 2008 collection after spending several months in South America.
Based on the repetitive use of hexagons, filigree details, and architectural lines, Trendinista found striking resemblances t…
(TrendHunter.com) Remember when Madonna brought back retro cone boobs, making the pointy bra style hot again? Well now thanks to Girls Aloud, it’s back, and this time with a galactic blast!
The UK girlband showed off this look when they kicked off their Tangled Up tour in Belfast this week.
“All credit goes to Ju…
(TrendHunter.com) Some people might say encasing a bird in glass is an act of cruelty to animals, but others would argue that this very unique, circular, hand-blown glass home further helps to enhance the beauty of the creature that it houses.
No matter what your view point, the $625 Bird House by Esque Studio is “…
LONDON – Three in five mobile internet users are more inclined to purchase a brand in response to advertising on their mobiles, according to new research from agencies Aerodeon and Millward Brown.
(TrendHunter.com) I am a great believer in education, but sometimes I question whether it is necessary to teach skills to creatures other than humans. Dogs are trained to find drugs or chase criminals, so I guess that’s fine, but goldfish? Now, thats a stretch….
The R2 Fishschool provides a training kit that is fa…
(TrendHunter.com) We’ve been entertained by a user-generated Zoolander spoof, a parody of Daft Punk’s Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger, and now we’re finding ourselves captivated by this remake of Michael Jackson’s Beat It.
The high energy black and white with music video features flashes of red and a killer soundt…
One need only look at Google’s $182 billion market cap to know search remains hot. While Microsoft is trying to figure out a strategy to compete with Google, another rival has slipped under the radar: Ted Nugent. The Motor City Madman is fronting SearchWithTedNugent.com, one of a series of incentivized search engines being developed by a company called Prodedge. The idea is that each time you use SearchwithTedNugent.com, which returns results from Google and Ask, you get a chance to win prizes like an autographed guitar or “the ultimate experience — a hunting trip with Uncle Ted!†Incentivizing people to search is not a bad idea, although nothing new. Heck, after Bill Gates suggested it three years ago, Microsoft played around with the concept. And let’s not forget that Nugent isn’t the first quasi-celebrity to go this route. Mr. Britney Spears himself was recruited for a Yahoo-powered search engine called SearchWithKevin.com.

Gawker’s Nick Douglas has a nice round up of the recent Levi’s guys-jump-into-jeans viral video that scored 1.5 million views in a few days and how very similar it is to the Ray Ban vid that got 3 million views last year.
NEW YORK (AdAge.com) — Next time you need to update your Twitter profile, you can do it via MySpace. The social-networking giant today announced a new product to make MySpace profile data more portable to other areas of the web. They're calling the new service Data Availability, and it allows MySpace users to indicate whether they would like to make information in their MySpace profile visible on other sites, too.
