Nokia convoca orquestra para criar 25 novos ringtones

Em 1993, quando o vice-presidente executivo da Nokia, Anssi Vanjoki, escolheu um trecho da composição “Gran Vals” para ser o toque dos celulares da marca, provavelmente não imaginava o ícone sonoro que se tornaria.

Escrita em 1902 pelo compositor espanhol de música erudita Francisco Tárrega, o trecho viria ser conhecido apenas como “Nokia Tune” quase um século depois, com uma estimativa de que a música é ouvida em todo o mundo aproximadamente 1,8 bilhões de vezes por dia, cerca de 20.000 vezes por segundo.

Para reafirmar seu novo momento, a Nokia decidiu modernizar também seus toques característicos, e com a ajuda da Orquestra Sinfônica de Bratislava, na Eslováquia, criou 25 novos ringtones clássicos.

A composição foi feita pela própria equipe de Sound Design da marca, e devem ser lançadas aos poucos nos próximos meses. Alguns desses ringtones já estão presentes nos modelos Lumia 920 e 820.

Em comum, os 25 toques carregam elementos de música clássica contemporânea, parecendo trilhas sonoras de cinema, e claro, bem curtos, com no máximo 30 segundos de duração.

Vale lembrar que essa não é a primeira vez que a empresa tenta renovar seu famoso ringtone. No ano passado, promoveram um concurso chamado Nokia Tune Remake, em que qualquer pessoa podia mandar sua versão.
