Pandora vai acrescentar publicidade em seu serviço

pand.JPGO serviço de rádio online, restrito apenas para os Estados Unidos, Pandora, vai começar a transmitir publicidade em seu conteúdo de áudio.

Famoso por ser um dos percussores deste tipo de serviço, o Pandora possibilita o usuário construir a sua própria estação de rádio, criando playlists personalizadas e de fácil compartilhamento. Agora, com o serviço de publicidade incluso, o Pandora espera aumentar a sua receita, e atrair anunciantes para mais uma nova fonte de mídia online.

Tim Westergren, fundador do Pandora, disse que vai ser trabalhado o máximo para que os anúncios não sejam taxados de intrusivos – mencionando que a publicidade deverá ser transmitida em apenas 15 segundos a cada par de horas.

A Fox e o McDonald’s já demonstraram interesse, e serão os primeiros clientes a veicular os anúncios.

Lançado em 2005, o Pandora abriga cerca de 21 milhões de usuários registrados e 2 milhões de usuários regulares por dia.

Senate Agrees to Delay Digital TV Transition
