HDTVs Can Bring Families Together

samsung_hdtv_If you happen to be among the people thinking of a good way to bring family and relatives together, consider investing on HDTVs. At least that is what Samsung gathered. Football fans or not agree that there is no better place to watch games than at home when there is a high definition television in place.

However, the survey also found that football fans are willing to take the show on the road, even to the in-laws, if they had the right incentive. More than four in ten (43%) football fans would be more likely to visit their in-laws if they had an HDTV to watch the game. Among this group, men are more likely than women to visit the in-laws if there was an HDTV waiting for them (50% vs. 34%).

So if you want your in-laws and you partner to get along better, consider getting one. It can make a difference as far as deepening family ties.

Are you tired of watching the same old programs or movies from the Blu-Ray DVD discs you have purchased? Well worry no longer. LG electronics has unveiled a new Broadband TV that allows you to watch streaming movies through its Internet-ready HDTV. Imagine being able to download and watch Netflix movies without the hassles of a set-top box? Totally Awesome!

It is believed that the TVs will be hooking up to your Internet via a wire or a wireless network.

Once you are no, you will need nothing else other than a Netflix subscription to be able to stream content straight to the new HDTV set.

The content is believed to be offered in both standard definition as well as in full high-definition.

Gearing up for HDTV: fire, explosion, and more.

HDTV is coming. The routine ads on broadcast TV continually remind us of that fact. But BBC is reminding their viewers in a slightly different fashion:

Kind of blows other “introducing HD” ads out of the water. And while it vaguely reminded me the Michael Bay Verizon FIOS ad, it leaves me with a different feeling (i.e. more HD, less Bay). I’m willing to bet as HD channels proliferate and broadcast switches over to HD, we’ll be seeing more explosions and special effects in commercials.

But for the moment, I’m just going to kick back and enjoy it.
