IKEA: Catalogue Launch Campaign
Posted in: UncategorizedThe IKEA catalogue is not just any other catalogue. Launched every year and distributed to almost every home in the world, it is one book that doesn’t need any introduction. When IKEA tasked Leo Burnett with launching their 2013 IKEA catalogue in Singapore and Malaysia, the problem was simple. How do you make people excited for something they know they get every year anyway? Our solution: Building anticipation to the arrival of the catalogue in the mailbox via a uniquely IKEA countdown.

Toyota: Protect What’s Behind You
Posted in: UncategorizedOn the walls of the Q-Park Lepage parking lot in Brussels Zacharevic created six unique 3D street art paintings featuring children playing. The realism is strengthened by projecting real objects from the murals: a shopping trolley, a tricycle and a ball. The result is a dynamic series of realistic installations that drivers actually can collide with unless they take care. They carry the strapline “Protect what’s behind you. Drive with a rearview camera” and are simply signed “Toyota”. The scarily life-like portraits include a boy playing ball, a girl playing hopscotch, drawing a dragon on the floor, riding down a slope on a tricycle, sitting in a supermarket trolley and a little girl graffiti-ing the message “Protect what’s behind you”.
In the USA alone two children are killed and almost 50 are injured every week in accidents involving reversing cars. Shockingly in over 70% of these accidents a relative is driving the vehicle. Toyota wanted to attract attention to the fact that a simple rear view camera can help avoid these kinds of tragic accidents.

Posted in: UncategorizedDBS Bank: Expect The Unexpected
Posted in: UncategorizedPart of a series of installations that depict the most unimaginable that could happen to a car. This mysteriously bisected car is the first of its kind to be seen on the roads in Singapore. Curious onlookers and drivers were directed to a QR code they could scan to find out what had happened to the car. Filmed from the perspective of an in-car camera, this is the first of three dramatised tongue-in-cheek videos of unexpected events caught on camera. The videos drive home a safety message to drivers, that with an in-car camera you can expect to see the unexpected.

AIAIAI: The Sound Taxi Make The City Sound Better
Posted in: UncategorizedURL: http://www.makethecitysoundbetter.com
MAKE THE CITY SOUND BETTER is the determined name of the campaign for our latest headphone-release, the Capital, which we designed for the on-the-go urbanite. Striving to back up words with action and break new sonic territory, we teamed up with London-based sound artist Yuri Suzuki and his crew of innovative creatives in the efforts to engage in an ambitious, design- and sound project that very literally delivers on the campaign’s motivated promise: to make the city sound better. The Sound Taxi is equipped with microphones that record it’s surrounding noise. As it made it’s way through the streets of London, a specially designed software program inside the vehicle converted the noise into unique music in real-time. Passersby heard the music via the 67 speakers built into the entire car body and the big Indian horns mounted on top of the taxi’s roof. Finally, the passengers of the sound taxi could tune-in to the converted sounds via headphones installed inside of the vehicle. The musical result was available on the campaign site together with photos from instagram.
