Coca-Cola: Big Santa

Ogilvy Argentina developed for Coca-Cola a new way to surprise parents on Christmas. Nobody better than the company, who shared with people every Christmas, to keep the spirit and the magic alive, despite ages. Coca Cola decided to bring Santa to the traditional Christmas action that usually takes place in malls. A special line was prepared for the adults with a 2.19 mts. height Big Santa, waiting for grown ups to make them feel the magic once again.

Mammut: Cologne Store Opening Campaign

What is the one and only essence of a high performance outdoor brand like Mammut? – The mountains, climbing, the highest mountain ever? The campaign starts with city lights and radio challenge requesting the Mammut target group to participate in a climb of the highest building in Cologne – the 165 meter high Cologne tower close to the new Mammut store. Many aspiring participants entered, but only two could be selected. The climbing challenge would begin between the two semi-finalists who had to successfully complete three tasks successfully as sleeping in a porter ledge on the Mammut store wall (outside). Based on the points gains from the tasks a winner would be chosen to climb the Cologne tower. There can only be one winner and there was. A girl named Heidi had won the challenge and accepted the challenge of climbing up the cologne tower under supervision of an expert top Mammut mountain guide from Mammut’s own alpine school. 165meters up Heidi and her guide planted the Mammut flag on top of the highest point in Cologne. The entire campaign and promotion was broadcast live radio and streamed to via official Mammut blog and Facebook site.

OVK (Parents of Road Victims): The Safest New Year

The start of the New Year coincides with the darkest time of the year making badly lit roads even more dangerous and causing more accidents. This inspired road safety organisation OVK (Parents of Road Victims) and Happiness Brussels, the ‘everything and everyone is media’ agency to create an installation to remind people to drive safely during the dark winter period. ‘The Safest New Year’ is a light installation made using Christmas lights, strategically placed on one of the darkest turns on Belgian roads bringing OVK’s New Year wishes and at the same time illuminating the road. The action is captured in a cool video at www.thesafestnewyear.com

Al Noor Training Centre: See Potential

To create awareness about the Al Noor Training Centre, which helps children with special needs find their place in society. With no budget we had to find an ingenious way to use media and make our message heard. We made innovative use of the globally recognised handicap sign. A vinyl die-cut sticker was designed with the relevant elements. When stuck on the handicap sign, it neatly turned the logo into a magician or basketball player or singer or astronomer. Through this execution we managed to turn disability into potential, simply and effectively without any budget. On the 27th of January, 2011, handicap signs across the city became mini billboards driving home the centre’s message to curious passers-by.

BGS Security: Fake Robbery

Problem: Make people living in apartment buildings aware of BGS home security systems.

Solution: We decorated apartment doors with a life-size poster that would create the illusion that the place has been devastated by thieves. We used a special glue that didn’t cause any damage to the door and was easy to remove. When approaching the door, people would understand it’s an optical illusion and see a sticker on the door knob reading: “Make sure this never happens. BGS” and the website.

Results: The poster impacted both the actual owners and their neighbors. Some home-owners even chose to keep the poster on for several weeks. The poster became the talk of the neighbourhood and people who would have never considered home security services before, started contacting BGS.

DU Kulturmagazin: AIDS Sculpture, Ganymed’s Sister, Monument to Labor

“More than meets the eye when viewing art. DU Arts and Cultural Magazine.”

Explanation: In order to reach art aficionados in public places we used large panels showing public works of art and monuments pictured as eye trackings. When taking a closer look at the black zigzag patterns, passers-by come to realize that these lines reveal an article from DU Arts Magazine that provides background information on the respective artist and his work. So they see more when looking at the monuments.

Save The Children: Only Cowards Beat Their Child

punchingbag

“Only cowards beat their child.”

The problem: Every year, approximately 30.5% of children are abused or neglected, but less than 1% of incidents are reported. Ignoring child abuse makes it more acceptable.

Solution: Our specially designed human punching bag will be hung in busy public areas to highlight the problem of child abuse and help correct the widely held misconception that “Children can never be successful if you do not beat them”. This graphic display will not only educate the public on the rights of children but also remind them to be alert to child abuse and report it.

At the end people could recreate the Van Gogh’s self portrait and build a masterpiece with our masterpiece Navarro Correas wine.
