Posted in: UncategorizedEvery weekday we bring you the Ad Age/iSpot Hot Spots, new TV commercials tracked by iSpot.tv, the real-time TV ad measurement company with attention and conversion analytics from more than eight million smart TVs. The ads here ran on national TV for the first time yesterday.
A few highlights: Chris Paul, James Harden and Oscar Nuez (Oscar Martinez from “The Office”) star in a State Farm spot that also features a creepy robot that looks a lot like Oscar Nuez. Fujifilm puts the spotlight on its 3D-imaging and cancer-fighting drug-delivery technologies. And Fresh Empire, a “public education campaign designed to prevent and reduce tobacco use among at-risk multicultural youth ages 12-17” (as the FDA describes it), says that “Next is staying on your hustle” and “living tobacco-free.”
Twitter posts massive data dump exposing bad actors in Russia, Iran
Posted in: UncategorizedTwitter has published data sets comprising millions of tweets, images and videos and thousands of accounts linked to operatives based in Russia and Iran, shedding light on how bad actors outside the U.S. sought to manipulate social-media discourse in their home countries and abroad.
The social-media company has previously disclosed the activities, going back to 2016, but said in a blog post Wednesday that it was opening up the data to the public to encourage independent analysis by researchers, academics and journalists.
The data sets just released are made up of 3,841 accounts affiliated with the Russia-based Internet Research Agency, 770 other accounts potentially based in Iran as well as 10 million tweets and more than 2 million images, videos and other media.

Why Sorrell says S4 Capital isn't actually snubbing creativity
Posted in: UncategorizedMartin Sorrell whose S4 Capital recently began listing on the London Stock Exchange asserted Tuesday his new venture isn’t snubbing creativity even though its stated focus is in other areas.
The former leader of WPP, who left in April following an internal investigation into misconduct, explained his thinking during a discussion with AdExchanger executive editor Zach Rodgers at Programmatic I/O Tuesday afternoon in New York.
Sorrell said S4 Capital’s focus is in the areas of content, first-party data and digital media buying and planning. When Rodgers asked, then, if creative was not a focus, Sorrell said that was an “easy shot.”
