In Case You Didn’t Hear, Skinny Founders Have Formed Something Called Shiver

Well, they’ve been broadcasting it via their newly created Facebook page for just a few days now, but yes, Liron Reznik and Jonas Hallberg, who founded NYC-based shop Skinny, which eventually merged with Vitro back in the fall of 2011, have left and formed a new shop called Shiver. The pair, who remain based in New York, founded Skinny in 2007 after having stints at what is now KBS+, where Reznik served as co-director of brand strategy and Hallbering holding the title of partner/brand experience director. From what sources familiar with the matter tell us, there are no plans to replace the duo at MDC-owned Vitro’s NY operation, where they last served as chief creative officers of said office.

No clear-cut answer as to where Reznik and Hallberg are going with this new endeavor, but perhaps this brief mission statement on the Shiver site might provide some hint. During their six years at Skinny/Vitro, meanwhile, the pair oversaw creative for the likes of Lexus (including the well-received “Dark Ride”), Vodafone and Jose Cuervo.

Digital Ad Startup RadiumOne Taps Eric Bader as CMO

RadiumOne, a late-stage startup that combines programmatic buying and social-data mining to deliver ads on digital, mobile and video channels, as well as the Facebook exchange, has hired its first CMO.

Eric Bader is a veteran of adland and has had stints at Ogilvy & Mather, MediaVest and most recently Initiative, where he was chief strategy officer from 2010 to 2012. (Even more recently, he was CEO of a startup called Mobilize, described on LinkedIn as a “mobile service platform for enterprises.”) He’s now tasked with explaining his new company’s value proposition in a crowded marketplace of startups that claim to be able to spin social data into gold for marketers.

“One of the hardest things for advertisers and their agencies right now is that if you want to run programmatic ads across online and social and mobile, you oftentimes have to work with three different kinds of [demand-side platforms],” he said. “But we see across all of them.”

Buchner Succeeds Wehrenberg as Campbell Mithun Chief Exec

It took a couple of months, but Minneapolis-based IPG agency Campbell Mithun has finally found a new CEO in Rob Buchner, a nearly 25-year Fallon vet who actually kicked off his ad career at the former agency as an account executive in the mid-80s. Buchner replaces Steve Wehrenberg, who remains on as a consultant for CM but has taken a leadership position at the University of Minnesota’s Journalism/Mass Communications program. Molson Resurrects ‘I Am Canadian’ Slogan via Traveling Beer Fridge

Let’s begin yet another hot, muggy day in NYC with an item related to something that’s pretty much always refreshing, especially during this time of year: beer. A decade after moving on from its “I Am Canadian” slogan, Molson has decided to reinstill some native pride, bringing back the mantra via a traveling beer fridge that can only be opened by, what else, a Canadian passport. In its effort to keep it real and spread the word throughout the globe, Molson’s fridge (by the way, nice touch on the bottles), which was concocted by Canadian agency Rethink, has made its way from London to the White Cliffs of Dover to Brussels. While we’re reminded to renew our own U.S. passport, check out the beer fridge spot above and a making of clip along with credits after the jump.
