Marmite Limited Edition Jubilee Jar: Corgis

Marmite launched a nationwide outdoor campaign to showcase the limited edition ‘Ma’amite’ Jubilee Jar by playing on the ‘love it or hate it’ positioning with the Queen’s treasured corgis. The outdoor poster ad features a twist on the Royal crest; it has a pair of corgis reacting to the Marmite and a quirky crown-like rack of toast.
The slogan ‘One either loves it or one hates it’ completes the design, adding a tongue-in-cheek Royal twist to Marmite’s traditional message. The nationwide campaign, which went live in April 2012 on poster sites outside major supermarkets, also benefitted from print advertising, experiential activity and digital support.

For Legoland Minibreaks we created a poster campaign from the Lego world and took it into the real world. Using real Lego bricks we built scaled down models of standard UK poster sizes. We even created digital sites. Each billboard carried a bold, simple message. We worked with JCDecaux to place the posters at various high profile locations such as train stations, roadsides and pedestrian areas throughout the UK.

Microsoft Windows 8: Fast And Fun

Microsoft has started its UK marketing activity for its new Windows 8 operating system by installing a giant slide in the Bluewater shopping centre, giving shoppers an alternative to using the stairs and presenting Windows 8 as ‘fast and fun’. Every slider had their picture taken as they went down the slide, received a photo print of themselves and a copy was sent to their mobile. These pictures were also shared on a giant LED screen, in the shopping centre, as well as Facebook and Twitter. The campaign was conceived by social and digital agency Jam, with Slice handling the experiential build.
