Os administradores da cidade holandesa Almere Oosterwold em parceria com o escritório de arquitetura MVRDV estão propondo algo nessa linha. Cansados de um urbanismo “certinho demais”, resolveram adotar um modelo inovador e lúdico de planejamento urbano, com participação direta da população. Além da “democratização” do processo, os responsáveis pelo projeto acreditam que as pessoas se sentirão mais responsáveis pela cidade ao terem contribuído ativamente com o seu desenho. A “brincadeira” foi viabilizada pelo site, também holandês, “Play the City”.

Outro ponto em comum entre a virtual FarmVille e Almere é a agricultura urbana. Algo que não tenho visto ser explorado nas cidades brasileiras, mas que parece ser bem interessante: além de permitir uma “agricultura de subsistência” contribui para uma bela paisagem urbana

Almere Oosterwold é um dos casos apresentados na V Bienal Internacional de Arquitetura de Roterdã, cujo tema é justamente Making City. A bienal não se limitou a discutir às cidades holandesas: Istambul e São Paulo também estão em foco. Istambul já adotou o jogo, é só conferir no site Play the City.

Entretanto, ainda não consegui descobrir os resultados dos debates sobre São Paulo, mas eles serão exibidos a partir de 19 de junho no Museu da Casa Brasileira, aguardemos.
