Volkswagen Original Parts: The Original Click

Idea:
For each successful video on YouTube there is poorly made imitations. There are hundreds of bad imitations and video clip remakes. Some of these copies had millions of views. And we saw an opportunity behind all this: promoting Volkswagen original auto parts.

Strategy:
We looked for some copies of these videos with a considerable amount of views on YouTube and we placed banners promoting our product in them. When users clicked on the banner, they had a surprise: they were redirected from the copy to the original video and thus we managed to promote our product without taking anyone to visit a corporate site.

Results:
For each US$100 spent, we had almost 125,000 views and approximately 500 clicks.

O nome, além de horroroso, é enorme: iFrogz Boost Near Field Audio Speaker. E se você acha que é só mais uma caixa de som para iPhone, está muito enganado: esse gadget atende qualquer aparelho com áudio externo. O que ele faz, basicamente, é captar o som e maximizá-lo usando seus próprios falantes.

Aliás, segundo o vídeo de apresentação, é um ótimo device para conference calls – tudo o que eu mais detesto nessa vida. :)

Brincadeiras à parte, a solução é interessante. Porque, embora passe a impressão de que capta o áudio com o microfone e amplifica, não é isso que ocorre. Os inventores criaram uma patente que faz uma espécie de sync (sem cabos ou Bluetooth) com o sinal do som ANTES dele sair nos falantezinhos do aparelho (com aquela qualidade normalmente péssima). Executando assim um som cristalino e de alta qualidade.

O aparelho suporta 15 horas de atividade, e usa três pilhas tamanho AA (ou uma micro USB). Essa só o CREEKS e o Cris Dias pra explicar, viu… :)
