NEW YORK (AdAge.com) — Twitter may still be tweaking its own business model, but Google has found a way to use the popular microblogging service to sell ads. The search giant has started offering marketers ad units that stream their five most recent "tweets" across the Google AdSense network.

CBS’s ‘I Get That A Lot’ Wins Time Slot


MINNEAPOLIS (AdAge.com) — April Fool's Day primetime started with two series about deception. The one played straight — Fox's "Lie to Me" — lost to the one played as a prank, CBS's "I Get That A Lot." But as usual, the last laugh was had by Fox's "American Idol," which delivered an 8.4/21 rating and share in the ad-centric adult 18-49 demographic to once again be the night's highest rated show. Combined with a 2.6/8 for "Lie to Me," Fox averaged a 5.5/15 to finish first, ahead of ABC (2.8/8), CBS (2.6/7), NBC (1.5/4) and the CW (1.1/3).

Axe entra na mesma “onda” da Modernista e Skittles

axeeffect.jpgChegou a vez da Axe! Todo o site deles foi transformado em um agregador de conteúdos referentes à marca, com links para tudo que  rola de mais importante deles na web (redes sociais e etc.).

Essa idéia começou primeiro com a agência Modernista (é a pioneira). Depois foi a vez da Skittles fazer o mesmo, há poucos meses atrás. E, agora, a Axe decidiu ir nessa onda e se beneficiar da estratégia que nem é mais inovadora, apesar de me agradar bastante.

Na real, existem algumas particularidades. O que a Axe fez não é um widget que fica surfando pela web, é um portal fixo que revela, randomicamente, onde estão os principais pontos de contato da marca na rede mundial de computadores.

O novo (www.theaxeeffect.com) leva os usuários para o Wikipedia, YouTube, StumbleUpon, Facebook, Drugstore.com e outros microsites criados sob a assinatura conceitual, Axe Effect.

Podemos até criticar a “chupada” dada por Axe nas últimas tendências do marketing digital. Porém, quanto mais marcas se unirem, estabelecendo um forte e sério relacionamento com a web 2.0, melhor será para nós defendermos aquela idéia que sempre tem um diabinho do lado dizendo que ela não “serve”.

Mais uma idéia original da Ikea foi apresentada na Holanda. É um um hotsite que reúne imagens e descrições das cozinhas compradas pelos clientes. Em (www.designyourownlife.nl) o usuário pode se cadastrar para criar uma página de catálogo pessoal, e nela colocar as fotos tiradas de suas cozinhas (compradas na Ikea).

As pessoas que entrarem no site também poderão ver quanto foi gasto pelos clientes. Contudo, o que eu achei mais legal foi a possibilidade que os usuários/clientes tem em poder se relacionar uns com os outros, trocando dicas sobre cozinha, decoração e assuntos diversos.

O hotsite também está aberto para aqueles que ainda não possuem uma cozinha da Ikea. Estes, podem favoritar as cozinhas prediletas, massageando um pouco o ego dos membros do catálogo virtual.
