Extreme Mural Houses – Architectural Canvases (GALLERY)

(TrendHunter.com) They say the home is an extension of yourself; it’s a haven where you can express your style outwardly. Judging by these mural homes, apparently some people have a lot to express!

I’ve seen garage doors turned into murals, and those alone are very eye-catching, but for the truly expressive, it take…

Guitar Gadgets – N-Tune for On The Spot Tuning

(TrendHunter.com) Your excuse for playing out of tune, besides from not being able to tune your guitar, is that guitars grow and expand from the humidity. Some smart dudes invented the N-Tune gadget that attaches to a guitar without drilling, so you can always tune your guitar on the spot.

Authenticity — Whatever That Means — Is Our Only Hope

If the U.S. were a client, any ad agency worth its salt would recommend a serious brand assessment. A recent New York Times poll found 81% of Americans believed "things have pretty seriously gotten off on the wrong track." Sounds like a classic business problem to me.

Everywhere Girl, the stock-photo celebrity

Everywheregirl
You never really know how small the world is until you start working with stock photography. One day, you’re putting a young professional on the cover of a bank brochure; the next, you’re seeing the same young professional in a university bookstore ad. Thus is the blessing and the curse of Jennifer Anderson, who posed for a stock photo shoot more than 10 years ago. Those shots of her looking hip yet studious have since popped up in countless ads and on book jackets for everything from Backpacking With God to Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Depressed Adolescence, leading her to be dubbed “The Everywhere Girl.” Thanks to image-recognition software, it’s easier than ever to collect her endless appearances. In fact, she’s more “everywhere” than ever these days: You can read her blog (which includes “recent sightings”) and follow her on Twitter. Do you have a favorite stock-art celebrity that you love or hate to see all over the marketing map? If so, post a link in the comments, and maybe we can crown the new Everywhere Person. ‘Project Runway’ Lawsuit Alleges ‘Sham Negotiation’

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) — How is it that NBC Universal and Bravo allowed one of their top-rated shows to defect to rival Lifetime? According to a lawsuit filed yesterday in the New York Supreme Court, it's because Harvey Weinstein was only going to let them have "Project Runway" beyond this year if they agreed to pay for a bunch of other "second-tier" films they really didn't want.
