Filhos detonam Ted em teaser de How I Met Your Mother

Foram oito anos de histórias que pareciam intermináveis, com direito até a spoiler via Instagram. Mas parece que a história sobre como Ted Mosby conheceu a mãe de seus filhos finalmente será concluída na temporada final de How I Met Your Mother. A CBS resolveu brincar com toda essa demora no teaser da nona temporada lançado no Comic-Con, em que os filhos de Ted finalmente perdem as estribeiras e detonam o pai.

O filho reclama de ter passado pela puberdade sentado no sofá, enquanto a filha reclama de ter perdido os anos de faculdade. Oito anos sem ver a luz do sol, sem ter uma pausa para ir ao banheiro…

Dando uma olhada nos comentários do vídeo no YouTube, deu para perceber que nem todo mundo curtiu o tom do vídeo. Há, inclusive, aqueles que defendem que a série deveria ter acabado há várias temporadas. De qualquer maneira, a história de Ted finalmente tem data para terminar. Quick Turnaround: Callaway Golf Capitalizes on Mickelson’s British Open Win


It was almost a Nascar moment for golfer Phil Mickelson as he publicly thanked Callaway Golf on ESPN/ABC’s telecast after he won the British Open on Sunday. “Lefty” even sent a few “Atta-boys” to the company technicians who designed the Callaway X Hot 3Deep Fairway Wood he used to reach the Par 5 17th hole in two shots.

Mr. Mickelson has played with Callaway golf clubs since 2004. But his sponsor didn’t pay Mr. Mickelson for the on-air plugs, according to the company. That was “just Phil being Phil,” said Jason Finley, Callaway’s director of marketing.

“He’s a very authentic, genuine person. He really appreciates our efforts, particularly our R&D team,” said Mr. Finley.

Is a Rick and Michonne romance in the works amid the zombie apocalypse? Just how will Ted Mosby finally meet his kids’ mother?

“The Walking Dead”

AMC used Comic-Con to debut the trailer for the fourth season of “The Walking Dead,” which returns Oct. 13. During the Q&A portion of the panel, a fan asked about the possibility of a Rick-Michonne romance. “We’re playing footsie right now,” said Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick, sitting next to Danai Gurira, who plays Michonne, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Joseph Ripp, Time Inc.’s Unexpected CEO, Wants to Be Catalyst for Talent


Joseph Ripp, the newly appointed CEO of Time Inc., is what Donald Rumsfeld might call a known unknown. Mr. Ripp is a veteran of the media business, but when Time Warner announced his hiring on Monday morning, the response of several media analysts and gadflies was simply, “Who?”

Mr. Ripp was a dark horse in the race for the CEO post at Time Inc., whose portfolio includes brands such as Time, People, Sports Illustrated, InStyle, Fortune, Entertainment Weekly and Essence. For many observers, the surer bet — and the more exciting one — was former Time Inc. executive Michael Klingensmith, who left the company in 2008 and later became chief executive at the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Nor does the selection Monday match the statement made in 2011 when Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes named Laura Lang, a digital agency CEO without publishing experience, to lead Time Inc.

Taco Bell Axes Kids Meals


Say goodbye to kids meals at Taco Bell.

Taco Bell said Monday that it’s eliminating kids’ meals — often a target of nutrition activists — from its menu. Taco Bell is touting itself as the first national fast-food chain to do so, noting that the move will be completed by January.

The chain said it’s ditching kids’ meals because they aren’t relevant to its core customer — millennials, generally in their late teens and early-to-mid ’20s. “As we continue our journey of being a better, more relevant Taco Bell, kid’s meals and toys simply no longer make sense for us to put resources behind,” said Greg Creed, CEO of Taco Bell, in a statement. “What does make sense is concentrating on expanding choices that meet and exceed the diverse needs of consumers of all ages, without losing focus on what makes us great today.”
