Wehrenberg Indeed Stepping Down as Campbell Mithun CEO

It looks like Campbell Mithun itself beat us to the punch on this news, but yes, as the IPG-owned agency announced late last Friday, its CEO, Steve Wehrenberg, is leaving come June for a leadership post at University of Minnesota, where he will serve as teaching professor of strategic communication and program director of its Strategic Communication graduate program. It’s familiar territory for Wehrenberg, who’s been teaching at U of MN over the last seven-plus years. The soon-to-be departing CEO, though, will indefinitely serve as a consultant at Campbell Mithun once he leaves his post.

Wehrenberg, who’s been with Campbell Mithun for nearly three decades, has served as its CEO since 2007, when he took over for Jack Rooney. We’ve been told by the agency that an external CEO search is now underway with the goal being to name a successor by summer.

No filme, os blocos de Post-it são transformados em flipbooks para contar a história de um personagem que deixou uma ideia escapar e agora precisa enfrentar diversos obstáculos para conseguir capturá-la.

Os criativos do estúdio Trikk17 mostraram que o produto também é capaz de estimular a imaginação, apresentando-o como uma ferramenta criativa, e não apenas um bloco de anotações. O resultado ficou bem bacana.

Frozen-Food Rivals Plot Campaign to Halt Sales Slump in Freezer Case


You know you have a health-perception problem when a fast-food marketer takes a shot at you. So when Wendy’s — hardly the standard for health food — makes a point of marketing its beef as “fresh, never frozen,” the $70 billion frozen-food industry decided it had to do something.

A major challenge, the group added in the document, will be to overcome taglines like Wendy’s “fresh, never frozen,” which capitalize on consumers’ negative perceptions of frozen food.

A representative for the industry groups declined to comment.

It’s that time again to dust off the ol’ blind item category. While the overall tone of this note gives one the sense that someone’s trying to light a fire,  you can pretty much tell that the author is on their way out the door one way or another. Anyhow, this alleged note sent by a frustrated staffer to his/her CMO at a rather well-known national retail chain mentions a couple of names that we’ve redacted, but you get the gist that whoever typed this up intended to go out guns blazing.
