Motz is the most popular magazine for homeless people in the German capital. For the campaign, international known top designers created coats made of the motz newspaper. At a press conference homeless people presented them to the public to gain attention for their situation, especially in the winter months.

One Second Everyday: sua vida toda em um filme

Ao completar 30 anos, Cesar Kuriyama pediu demissão do seu emprego no mercado publicitário e partiu para um período sabático. Durante esse tempo, começou o projeto One Second Every Day, passando a filmar um segundo de cada dia da sua vida.

Como resultado, Kuriyama uniu estes segundos em um vídeo que conta seus principais momentos durante o ano seguinte em que iniciou as filmagens.

Há muitos projetos que documentam as mudanças de um dia após o outro. Mas com certeza esse, em especial, tem gerado grandes frutos, além de inspirar muitos outros.

Em entrevista a CNN, Kuriyama conta que, apesar de lembrarmos apenas de registrar as melhores coisas, o projeto o fez gravar os principais momentos da vida, sejam eles felizes ou tristes. E, ao esquecer de filmar durante alguns dias, percebeu o quanto era importante fazer algo interessante todos os dias, e não apenas ver o dia passar.

Com essa filosofia e o sucesso do seu projeto, Kuriyama participou do TED 2012 e, recentemente, recebeu um financiamento coletivo através do Kickstarter para desenvolver um aplicativo que facilite a vida de quem se sentiu inspirado e resolveu iniciar um projeto similar. O aplicativo para iPhone ajuda a filmar, editar, organizar e compartilhar o projeto criado.

When “Jimmy Kimmel Live” makes its debut in the 11:35 p.m. time slot on ABC Jan. 8, it will mark just the latest in a series of seismic shifts that have altered TV’s late-night landscape. In just a few years’ time, should CBS’s David Letterman or NBC’s Jay Leno decide to step down has this been rumored? If so, let’s note that Mr. Kimmel could be the best-known face on broadcast in the time period. Below, in a lightly edited interview, the host offers his take on doing live ads on his program, going viral and the continued splintering of wee-hours TV.

Ad Age: What, if anything, about the show will change when you move half an hour earlier? Is there anything you have to do to appeal to the broader demographic, including older viewers, who might tune in more strongly earlier in the night?

Mr. Kimmel: That mandate has not been given, and even if it had, I would ignore it. I just think that when you try to guess who your viewers are and you try to adapt to an imaginary group, you run into trouble. We’ve been doing the show for 10 years. We’ve had a chance to figure out what works for us and what doesn’t work, and I think that we would be very, very foolish to make wholesale changes just because we’re moving up 25 minutes.

Privacy Laws Should Be Viewed With Healthy Dose of Skepticism


The problem with privacy laws is that people have a hard time agreeing on what should be kept private. It depends, all too often, on what ax you have to grind.

Gun advocates live in fear that their guns could be confiscated by an over-reaching federal government, so they devote their efforts to putting up impediments to tracking down owners, such as the creation of a federal registry of gun transactions. Other equally fervent champions of individual rights work just as hard to shield the identities of the mentally ill, lest stigma against such disorders hurt those afflicted in the pursuit of a normal life.

The concerns of both gun advocates and civil libertarians make preventing mass shootings such as the Newtown, Conn., massacre a formidable task. Both sides believe that their concerns should be paramount, and each side has very little tolerance for arguments opposing its own.

Despite Facebook’s Harvard-dorm-room roots, the company’s M.O. is more stubbornly childish than post-collegiate. Think of Facebook as a self-absorbed, petulant brat, one that doesn’t understand how to play well with others — users, investors, partners, competitors. Consider just the latest string of misbehavior:

Last month Facebook created a more-prominent control panel called Privacy Shortcuts. But as New York Times “Bits” blogger Nick Bilton put it, “When Facebook giveth, Facebook taketh away” — specifically, you can now no longer hide yourself from Facebook search. Bilton quoted a company executive as saying that particular privacy option was killed because only “a single-digit percentage of users” use it.”But keep in mind,” Bilton added, “that Facebook has a billion people on the site; a single-digit percentage of users could mean tens of millions of people.”
