Rupert Murdoch has denied that breaking up the News Corporation media empire has any links to the phone hacking scandal engulfing the company, saying the split has been more than three years in the making.

Cada vez mais eu venho me interessando pelo rock latino. Depois de falar sobre o Cuarteto de Nos, acabei descobrindo uma outra banda uruguaia veterana. Novidade para mim, mas um patrimônio de Montevidéu há quase 20 anos.

O No Te Va Gustar começou como um trio de baixo, guitarra e bateria, e ao longo dos anos incorporou metais e percussão à formação. Em 1998, com 4 anos de estrada, a banda comquistou o primeiro lugar no 3o Festival da Canção de Montevidéu, e no ano seguinte lançou seu primeiro álbum.

Logo após o lançamento, a banda entrou em turnê e tocou em vários países da América Latina, e chegou até a se apresentar ao lado dos Paralamas do Sucesso. Hoje, são atração frequente também em Buenos Aires, Santiago e até Porto Alegre.

Já lançaram 7 discos e colecionam prêmios na América Latina.

Coloco aqui quatro amostras do Por Lo Menos Hoy, álbum que conheci há pouco tempo e – diferentemente do que o nome da banda sugere – gostei muito. É pop/rock light, e do bom.

Em tempo: nos minutos finais de Arde, parece que eles convidaram o George Harrison e o Eric Clapton pra solar.
