NEW YORK (AdAge.com) — Ad buyers aren't counting on the new 10 p.m. lineup that NBC announced on Thursday to last into next fall, but they say it's already an upgrade over Jay Leno in prime-time. Late-night, however, still presents NBC with some very hard choices.

OfficeMax is banking that the answer to both questions is yes, and its enlisted Fast Company and BusinessWeek on its optimism crusade. The office supplies retailer is launching a new brand campaign, its first since 2004, under the banner "Good News for Business."

Assim como hoje todos podem gerar conteúdo, formar opinião, serem veículos e serem audiência, venderem seus produtos, criarem suas músicas ou todo tipo de iniciativa livre e democraticamente, ajudar quem precisa também pode ser feito dessa forma.

Ultimamente tivemos 2 grandes pontos de atenção. A tragédia imensa que aconteceu em Angra e que afetou diretamente os brasileiros, e essa semana o terremoto no Haiti, que acho que dispensa maiores comentários.

Vi nascer pelo twitter o Projeto Enchentes, que de forma totalmente independente, agrupou pessoas ativas nas redes sociais para prestarem serviço de informação e de conexão entre pessoas com vontade de ajudar.

Outra iniciativa muito legal que acabei de ver é do designer James White, que tem uma loja online, a Signalnoise, onde vende pôsteres de suas artes. Ele resolveu seguir o que um outro artista está fazendo, o Chris Anderson do No Pattern, doando 100% das vendas da sua loja para ajudar nos recursos básicos que o Haiti precisa.

É legal ver gente que pode disponibilizar tempo ou dinheiro para ajudar. Mesmo que seja pouco. O que consigo fazer, é de alguma forma amplificar essa mensagem aqui, para que os leitores que quiserem de alguma forma ajudar no projeto enchentes ou em doações pro Haiti.

Vi muita gente no Twitter criticando o governo brasileiro por mandar dinheiro e mantimentos pro Haiti, ao invés de cuidar de alguns problemas muito graves por aqui. Nem quero entrar nos méritos da divisão de orçamentos públicos por aqui, mas digo: ridículo mesmo é trocar o padrão das tomadas. Picaretagem dá mais suja e inútil. E ninguém diz nada.

Cadê as pessoas que fabricam as novas tomadas pra doar dinheiro agora? Não deve estar faltando dinheiro por lá.
