Lincoln: Full Moon

Lincoln Navigator.

Their new hands-free feature, called ActiveGlide, is pretty tech-forward for a brand looking to appeal to younger buyers. But it also supported the overall feeling you get of driving this vehicle, under the “Power of Sanctuary” tagline we’ve been using for a couple years now. Director Daniel Askill has masterfully brought an ethereal landscape to life, creating an environment that feels much like the moon’s surface. (and stuff about the moon seems to be everywhere these days, doesn’t it??)

You’ll also notice the importance of music on this piece. We found electropop artist Ruelle to cover the Police’s classic “Walking on the Moon” to further convey this visceral feeling you get on an evening roadtrip, especially in Lincoln’s new Navigator. Lincoln is all about the smooth, quiet, spacious journey, and it’s so important in luxury marketing to capture that feeling, rather than simply tell people what they’ll experience.

Granite State Children's Alliance: It's Always There

This month is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, an annual observance dedicated to raising awareness and preventing child abuse. To mark the initiative, Boston-based HATCH The Agency partnered with Station Film and award-winning director Brendan Gibbons to create “It’s Always There,” a powerful anti-child abuse PSA for the Know+Tell initiative of the Granite State Children’s Alliance. The PSA is a quiet and profound reflection on the impact sexual, physical or mental child abuse can have on a person for their entire life, and a reminder intervention is the first step for getting a young life back on track.

“The intention behind ‘It’s Always There’ was always to communicate a truth about abuse,” said Rick McHugh, Executive Creative Officer of HATCH The Agency. “And it’s a truth that other spots addressing the issue don’t always examine – that the pain of abuse, the effects of abuse, stay with the person long into adulthood. Those effects can be profound. But with intervention, support and counseling, kids can learn to deal with what’s happened to them and go on to live happy and fulfilling lives.”

Samsung: Nocturnal Narratives

This week Samsung UK launched Nocturnal Narratives. A series of three, beautifully shot short films, directed by Will Robson-Scott. The campaign was created especially to capture the nocturnal lives of three diverse and unique individuals, all made possible with Samsung Galaxy S22 technology.

Armed with the Galaxy S22 Ultra Nightography features, Will Robson-Scott and Samsung shone a light on the unseen narratives of Dalston-based florist My Lady Garden, pioneering boxer Safiyyah ‘The Hijabi Boxer’ Syeed and underground music collective, Keep Hush, in a way that has not previously been possible with a smartphone.

The subjects were chosen especially because of their unique stories to tell – often overcoming obstacles on their way – to live their passions which get them out of bed in the dead of night or keeps them awake until first light.

Great athletes have become more than role models, they are true icons who inspire the younger generation. Some have even seen their name become a logo, a brand. Recognizing this, Lacoste and its agency BETC decided to turn the tide.
