Flipp Candy: Flipp

The hard candy market is an oversaturated one in India. And the marketing for it even more so. The abundance of choice available to the consumer makes it paramount to differentiate the product and the marketing as much as possible. In this case, the offering itself was quite unique; a hard candy shell enclosing liquid with a different, sweet flavour. This gave the candy a unique twist, as it offers two flavours in one. The consumer goes through the spicy or sour outer shell to get through to the sweet center. The marketing had to communicate this dual flavour aspect in an interesting and eye-catching manner. This series of ads captures that beautifully. Interesting illustrations showcase various predatory animals, however on closer inspection one can see the innocent animal hiding within the negative space. It immediately conveys the concept of a hidden aspect of the product. And with the predator-prey dynamic, the spicy-sweet aspect is also encapsulated in a single, easy to understand visual.

Goyal & Co: Nothing British About It

Goyal & Co launched a new apartment complex in Bangalore, which they officially registered as ‘Orchid Piccadilly’. In a country scarred by the British rule, this was indeed an icky situation to be in, to add to our problems, there was nothing British about the architecture or any aspect of this project for that matter. What started as a conundrum was then flipped on its head and used to our advantage with the Tag line of the campaign stating “Orchid Piccadilly, Nothing British About it”. We played on the innate, ancestral need of us Indians to take a dig at the British. And it worked. It struck a chord with our Indian audiences. They had a good laugh. No offence to the British 🙂

Festival-goers attending Blue Dot (18-21 July, Jodrell Bank) are to be warned about the dangers of unprotected sun exposure this summer thanks to a unique new Melanoma UK skin cancer awareness campaign, inspired by the iconic Hacienda and Factory Records music genre.

With the support of legendary New Order bassist, Peter Hook, along with Festival Safe, free samples of ‘FACtor51 The Suncream’ will be distributed at the event, each featuring iconic typography inspired by Manchester’s globally-renowned Factory Records.

Flyers and posters are also being given away to highlight the importance of sunscreen in the fight against skin cancers.

Distinctly branded with Factory Record’s unmistakeable yellow and grey chevron artwork, the FACtor51 suncream features the words “Use Sun Protection” in an affectionate tribute to the original “Use Hearing Protection” club night poster, now synonymous with the hedonistic rave scene.

Created for Melanoma UK by award-winning international healthcare creative agency, Havas Lynx, the FACtor51 campaign has been designed to capture the imagination of a new generation of festival-goers, aged 15-34 years old, for whom skin cancer is now the most deadly of all cancers.

Adding further credibility to the Havas Lynx campaign is the guidance from the agency’s Design Director, Trevor Johnson, who created some of the most influential artwork and branding for Factory Records at its peak.

The striking campaign artwork is also designed to resonate with first-generation clubbers who played their part in establishing the rave scene in Manchester, now in their 40s and 50s. According to Melanoma UK, while this generation is better educated on the importance of sun protection now, they are still highly susceptible to skin cancers due to the sun damage caused in their youth.

13 Ways To Increase Sales With Facebook Ads

Facebook-Ads-that-Convert.jpg

Facebook is the largest social media platform in the world with well over one billion users, and Facebook Ads is one of the best means to getting your product in front of a huge audience. Yet using the platform is not enough. Here are 13 practical tips to ensure your Facebook Ads campaign is hitting the mark:

Use videos

Video ad campaigns are becoming increasingly important to marketers, as videos can capture imaginations in a way that static images cannot. Look to utilize videos through Facebook Ads for a hard-hitting campaign.

Boost popular posts

If an ad has worked in the past, then use it again through the boosting tool, which may help to generate even more click-throughs.

Focus on brand strength

The object should always be the building of a trusted brand, rather than cold, hard selling, which turns off potential customers in their droves.

Use calls to action

Don’t make the mistake of not letting potential customers know what they need to do. Give directions to access discounts, sign up for special offers, or whatever it may be.

Target

Reaching a large audience is not enough: you need the right audience. “Marketers and businesses often fail to recognize exactly who they should be targeting. That is a job that you need to do first, then you can use Facebook Ads in a way which targets the niche you have identified. Do not embark on a campaign without having performed this vital task,” warns Tommy Travis, a marketer at Writemyx and Nextcoursework.

And Facebook Ads has the capacity to present to exactly the niche you have identified, providing an array of useful analytics which can help you identify the results of this.

Optimize images

Images are powerful, but optimize them using tricks such as white backgrounds, and the well-known rule of thirds which places two-thirds emphasis on the product and one third on the brand. Above all, make sure your image is eye-catching, and is cropped to the right size.

“You must stand out from the crowd immediately if you want to succeed, and optimizing images should be your absolute priority,” argues Sandra DeBois, a project manager at Britstudent and Australia2write.

Use exact numbers for pricing

We scroll over information quickly, and whole numbers are much more memorable that those with decimalizations. $20 or $19.95, anyone?

Use mobile news feed ads

People are increasingly accessing the web online as opposed to the more traditional desktop method, and mobile optimization is becoming increasingly relevant to page rankings. Optimize your campaign by utilizing mobile news feed ads which appear on a user’s mobile news feed to maximize click-through potential. M-Commerce is not just the future, it’s the present too.

Use offer ads

Offer ads are campaigns which promote special offers which can only be redeemed on Facebook. This has the dual benefit of sending the user straight to the offer, and it being targeted, as previously mentioned. This is a great way of removing friction problems, as a step has automatically been eliminated from the process.

Use retargeting ads

Retarget ads are aimed at those who you know are already interested in your products How do you know? Because they have bought something before or have visited your site previously. Facebook can customize your audience so you are reaching out to those people who you know are already keen on your brand.

Use multi-product ads

There is now the capability of posting ads which don’t just promote one product, but many. Viewers can scroll though the image to click on the exact product they are interested in. And it’s all easily done in the Facebook Power Editor.

Include a value proposition

What entices the user to click on your ad? Make it clear exactly what is in it for the user by clicking through. For example, is there a special offer they can avail of, can you give an example of a statistic which will impact upon them (95% of people said this product made their life easier). Users need to immediately see the value of clicking, or they simply won’t.

Make it unique

What sets your ad apart from the others? In a world that is saturated with ads, you need to do something a little bit different. Let your imagination run wild.

A Technical Revolution: How The iGaming Industry Was Born

pexels-photo-1820770.jpeg

Meta: The iGaming industry has gone through various milestones to get to where it is today. Here’s a detailed guide for beginners or all those who wish to understand the factors and challenges which contributed to the rise of this exciting gaming platform.

What do you understand once you hear the word ‘iGaming?’ While it may sound like a pretty basic term, it’s something which continues to cause a lot of misunderstanding and confusion, especially for newbies. That’s why we have taken enough time and resources to come up with this simple iGaming industry beginner’s manual. We hope that it will go a long way in settling all your worries. Take a look!

What is ‘iGaming?’

Before we dive into the history and growth of this exciting industry, let us first define the term ‘iGaming.’ Well, according to Sally M. Gainsbury, who wrote an interesting piece on the taxonomy of casino games as well as gambling, iGaming is a system of online slots where all outcomes depend on chance. Players also receive monetary awards once they win.

However, online games which don’t involve this system of betting don’t fall under the ‘iGaming’ category. Such includes casino-based games. These are basically social casino slots where no actual betting is required. That being said, some of the most interesting ‘iGaming’ classifications being played in today’s online casinos include:

– Poker
– Mobile Gambling
– Various Casino Slots
– Lottery
– Sports Betting
– Bets on Horse Racing
– Bingo

Growth and History of ‘iGaming’

1. Microgaming Developed the First Online iGaming Website In 1994

Before we were introduced to the world of online casinos, Microgaming had already started marking remarkable strides in this industry. In fact, during this time, it was considered to be the largest gaming developer. Also, in the same year, Antigua Barbuda became the first country to issue licenses allowing online casinos to operate freely through its free processing and trade act.

pexels-photo-257881.jpeg

2. The Establishment of The Kahnawake Gaming Commission in 1996

It was launched in the Canadian, Kahnawake Mohawk Territory to regulate all online gambling licensing activities across the world. The InterCasino was also the first gambling house to allow its players to wager using real money.

3. Tremendous iGaming Achievements In 1998 From Microgaming and Planetpoker

Just four years after establishing its gambling software, Microgaming introduced ‘Cash Splash.’ This was its first progressive online jackpot slot, designed to reward players with huge cash-outs. Likewise, during the same year, we also saw the introduction of the first online poker room from PlanetPoker.

4. Other iGaming Advancements by 1999

Before ushering in the new century, the ‘iGaming’ industry already had over 700 online top casinos running on real money. There was also the establishment of the Multiplayer feature, which allowed gamers to communicate with one another as they played.

5. By 2000, More Countries Had Began to Accept the Concept of ‘iGaming’

Different territories in the United Kingdom like Gibraltar and the Isle of Man opened their ‘gambling’ doors to online gaming. This ‘wave’ kept on spreading with more than 8 million users across the globe. Furthermore, the industry surpassed more than 2 billion dollars in revenue.

6. 888.com was Launched Back in 2003

This was quite an eventful year for the industry with the introduction of 888.com, one of the most reputable online gaming websites of today. Interestingly, according to the Chinese culture, the number ‘8’ is a lucky digit, something which resonates well with ‘iGaming.’

Sadly though, three years later, the United States of America (USA) passed a somewhat controversial Gambling Enforcement law. It prohibited all gaming houses from accepting online payments for betting.

7. Growth of Mobile Devices in Online Gaming by 2010

There’s no arguing the fact that mobile devices have transformed the way we do business and interact with each other. When it comes to the ‘iGaming,’ in 2010, they had become the ‘kings’ of the industry. During this time, gamers had already placed bets worth 10 billion dollars using their online betting platform!

The Technical Revolution Challenges of The iGaming Industry!

Despite such remarkable growth, ‘iGaming’ has gone through various problems. Yes, other than just looking for a way to maneuver through harsh legal policies, online gaming companies had a lot more on their plate.

pexels-photo-2381851.jpeg

These include:

A. Technological Problems

The continued adoption of internet services in different countries, especially those to the west and the growing use of personal computers in homes contributed to a substantial rise in the ‘iGaming’ market services. As the speed and power of these computers continued to increase, companies had to work tirelessly just to improve their offerings. They also had to create better sound and graphics as well as provide players with a wide variety of online slots.

B. Massive Competition

Today, the ‘iGaming’ industry is overcrowded with online games due to the increase in demand. Hence, companies need to have a generous and innovative incentive that allows them to draw the attention of new players. Good examples include:

– Bonuses like free bets or spins
– The free-play feature
– Frequent player points (FPP)
– Cashback promotions

Conclusion

The ‘iGaming’ industry is something which will continue to grow as time goes on and as more people continue to see the value of placing online bets for huge cash-outs. It’s convenient, fast, and flexible for the everyday gambler. Besides, even though it continues to face different challenges, its continued success is truly outstanding.

So, what you think about the ‘iGaming’ industry? Is it an easy or risky way of making money in the tough economic situation of today? We’d like to hear from you, drop us a comment!
