Dim Dining: Bonito

Dim Dining Print Ad - Bonito

Dim Dining is a restaurant in Antwerp. They serve Japanese food with a Western twist. As a stunt, we introduced Tasteful Tattoos. Japanese tattoos that are for free… But their meaning isn’t “Courage”, “Strength” or “Hope”, but “Sea Bass Sashimi”, “Crispy Duck Salad” or another dish on the menu of Dim Dining. And if you get the tattoo, you get the matching dish as well. People can register for a Tasteful Tattoo on dimdining.be.

AR shopping

Facebook Messenger is launching a new augmented reality feature for brands where, for the first time, they can show off products through the Camera Effects Platform. Facebook currently lets brands and advertisers build other AR experiences through the effects platform, which competes with Snapchat’s Lens Studio, Apple’s ARKit and Google ARCore.

Facebook said Asus, Kia, Nike and Sephora have tested AR on Messenger. In theory it would let people get a better sense of their products in the digital world before buying, such as through a 360-rendering of a sneaker.

Politico Magazine declares that 'The Trump Show Is Over' (but this isn't about Mueller or Russia)

The cover of the just-released May/June issue of Politico Magazinethe physical magazine, as opposed to the websitedeclares in all-caps that “THE TRUMP SHOW IS OVER.” A gif version of the cover produced for social media (above) animates the conceit, as a hand holding a remote control switches off a grainy TV image of the president.

But the storytitled “How the Trump Show Gets Old” inside the magazine and on the webisn’t about what you may think it’s about (the Mueller investigation or other existential crises facing the Trump adminstration). Rather, it’s about the fact that, as the story’s subhead puts it, “A big slump in season two is a hallmark of the president’s entire career. This time the ‘show’ is the White House, and his response will affect the world. So what are we in for?”

Senior Staff Writer Michael Kruse intially does something that many others have done: He draws parallels between Trump’s time on NBC’s “The Apprentice” and his adminstration to date. For instance,

As F8 starts, Facebook accidentally asks for 'hate speech' help and promises 'clear history' option

Some Facebook users on Tuesday saw notes at the bottom of posts asking whether they contain hate speech.

It looked like Facebook was trying to bolster its forever-war against hate speech on the platform, primarily fought with algorithms and human staffers, by simply asking users to call it out.

People saw the question appear on innocuous posts, including one from The Bad Apple bar in Chicago talking about menu items.
