Posted in: UncategorizedWatch: Eating Milano Cookies in the Bathroom Now Encouraged
Posted in: UncategorizedOnce the camera pans out, it’s clear that’s impossible, as the tub is filled with her kids’ bathtime toys. As they try to interrupt from the other side of the bathroom door, she pulls out a deep voice, pretending to be the dad, and gets a few more moments to herself.
It’s been nearly five years since Milano was on network TV, giving the brand plenty of time to research its consumers.
“Milano is an extremely mindful snack,” says Karen Marks, head of integrated marketing for Pepperidge Farm. “They will open the bag, they will take out a plate, they will put two cookies on a plate, and they will sit down and savor the cookies. No Chips for Guac? Avocados From Mexico's Super Bowl Ad Finds a Solution
Posted in: UncategorizedWhere are the chips? That question creates an existential crisis of sorts in Avocados From Mexico’s Super Bowl ad.
The spot shows a group of people who have created a bubbled world, sealing good things like avocados in with them and locking out the bad. The idyll can’t last, of course, and chaos ensues when the bubblers realize that someone forgot to bring in the chips for their guac. Eventually they figure out some other ways to eat avocados. It’s an actual selling proposition in a Super Bowl ad. At least, it’s a serving suggestion.
Actor Chris Elliott makes a cameo.
Ad Lib: Avocados From Mexico's Kevin Hamilton on Super Bowl Smarts
Posted in: UncategorizedUntil recently, few Americans ever thought about where their avocados came from. Avocados From Mexico has spent the past few years spending millions of dollars to change that. Its fourth Super Bowl ad in a row, released online Wednesday morning and set to air during the game on Sunday, is the latest slightly off-beat attempt to put the growing co-op’s produce top of mind.
Kevin Hamilton, senior director of marketing at the organization, led the creation of each of these ads and learned a few things in the process. In a special Super Bowl edition of Ad Age’s Ad Lib podcast, Hamilton discusses how Avocados From Mexico makes the Super Bowl work for them.
