Rebekah Brooks appeared in court on Wednesday and denied five counts relating to Britain’s phone hacking scandal, which forced the closing of one of its biggest tabloids.
You don’t know what’s the date, you can’t find the way home, you’re not able to write or call. And they just get rid of you.
Sorry, radio. Radiocentras smartphone app is out.
Will work for batteries.
It doesn’t matter how long or how hard you’ve been working. One day they simply replace you with some computer program.

Well, we’ve received a few tips about this over the last two days and a call to the agency came back with a reply that he wasn’t listed in the director. So, we can only draw our own conclusions for the time being on the status of Kevin Brown. Oh yeah, if you didn’t know, Brown has worked for 14 years at WPP-owned Mindshare/Team Detroit and most recently served as managing director for its media buying efforts, which called for him to oversee media efforts for clients including of course its most notable one, Ford.
We’ve yet to hear back from Team Detroit on Brown (surprise), but seemingly upset tipsters are telling us that he was “responsible for buying billion plus in media” (apparently about $1.5 billion annually) and that the exec was not the only one cut by the agency on the Ford media end. As we always say and try to do, we’ll let you know if and when we hear more on the matter.

Tapestry, a new consumer app from Betaworks designed to improve the reading experience for mobile devices, has secured its first advertising deals with Unilever’s Dove and GE.
The mobile app, which has 2,000 mostly long-form stories and allows users to subscribe to authors, is part fo a portfolio of Betaworks startups attempting to reinvent content, including Chartbeat, Bitly, Social Flow, Digg and Instapaper.
Users of Tapestry can "tap" through stories, which now include some stories from brands. Dove’s “10 Girls Standing" is an inspirational narrative that explores the relationship between girls’ self-esteem and the choice to pursue what they love, part of a larger program Make Girls Unstoppable campaign.

Cats get most of the Internet love, but bunnies can put on quite a show of devastating cuteness as well—as displayed in this new spot from BETC London for Ibis Hotels. The ad was filmed over two days in the Ibis London Blackfriars hotel, with 30 bunnies allowed to roam free in a top-floor hotel room. Supposedly the group snuggle on the bed was unprovoked. (Perhaps they cranked the A/C.) "We really wanted to highlight the ultimate comfort of the Sweet Bed by Ibis," says Neil Dawson, executive creative director, BETC London. "Bunnies snuggle up to each other and find cosy places to sleep. And what better evidence of the ultimate comfort of the Sweet Bed by Ibis than for the bunnies to seek out and sleep there on their own." Ornette Spenceley of Independent Films directed the spot. The music is a contemporary remake of "Hushabye Mountain" by Richard Hawley from the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Full credits below.

Notice we said C+K, not C-K to clarify and reiterate. Anyhow, yes, six months after launching a rather peculiar, pre-Valentine’s Day spot (above) for Zoosk, San Francisco-based Camp + King has been officially named agency of record (minus review) for the online/mobile dating site. As the parties involved and YouTube stats can attest to, Havas-supported C+K’s spot for Zoosk has racked up over 14 million views since its launch. Regarding Zoosk’s decision to continue in its relationship with Camp+King, the brand’s president/co-founder Alex Mehr says, “Zoosk is a young, energetic brand with big plans. We felt that the team at Camp+King mirrored these qualities and are as excited as we are about building our brand in the US and globally.”
This marks the first agency of record relationship for six-year-old Zoosk, which has been working on a project basis up until now. C+K, which also works with Old Navy and Capital One, will debut digital video for its newest client come July. Check out a more recent clip if you so choose after the jump.
