Em 2007, a Nike ganhou um Titanium em Cannes Lions. Uma quebra de paradigma na época, já que não se tratava de uma campanha ou ação de marketing, e sim de um novo produto: o Nike+.

Era a celebração de uma ideia realmente nova e tecnologicamente revolucionária, que modificou completamente a linha de produtos da marca.

Em 2012, a Nike tenta repetir o feito, e com um avanço significativo da ideia original. A Nike+ Fuelband é uma pulseira que monitora todas as suas atividades diárias, e lhe apresenta estatísticas e medidas de acordo com o seu esforço. Pode ser para uma simples caminhada, uma aula de dança ou intensa partida de futebol.

Os LEDs da Fuelband indicam o seu desempenho de acordo com os objetivos pré-definidos, utilizando as cores verde, amarela ou vermelha. Além disso, assim como o Nike+ original, os dados coletados da pulseiras podem ser enviados para um site com o seu perfil e integração com Twitter, Facebook e Foursquare.

A intenção da Nike com o lançamento é promover a prática de atividades físicas, incentivando as pessoas – e não só corredores – com a apresentação em tempo real de dados e resultados.
