Cannes Lions 2009: Titanium & Integrated

O projeto da Warner Music para lançar o último álbum do Oasis, “Dig Out Your Soul”, foi mais um dos grandes ganhadores de Titanium & Integrated em Cannes Lions 2009. No ano passado, a ação foi tema desse post aqui no Brainstorm #9, quando ainda estava em andamento.

Em parceria com a secretaria de turismo e marketing de Nova York, a gravadora colocou músicos independentes em diversos pontos da cidade para tocar algumas faixas, até então inéditas, do novo disco da banda inglesa. Foram escolhidos mais de 20 artistas que fazem parte do programa MUNY (Music Under New York).

A ação nas ruas virou um documentário, que estreou internacionalmente no MySpace, e garantiu grande cobertura da mídia e fãs da banda inglesa. Além disso, os próprios vídeos gerados pelos fãs tornaram-se amplamente viralizados na internet, promovendo o álbum online e reinventando a maneira de se lançar um disco.

O case Barack Obama levou os dois GPs mais importantes do Festival de Cannes: Titanium & Integrated. Porém, dentro da categoria, outro case ligado a eleição presidencial norte-americana também levou um Leão.

Criado pela DROGA5 para o Jewish Council For Education and Research (Conselho Judeu para Educação e Pesquisa), a campanha The Great Schlep uniu duas gerações de judeus para ajudar Obama a vencer no estado da Flórida, considerado essencial no processo eleitoral dos Estados Unidos.

Através de um movimento online e social muito bem focado, a idéia era fazer com que os netos dos judeus idosos da Flórida passassem a conhecer as idéias de Obama. O The Great Schlep convocou netos a visitarem, ligarem ou até mesmo mandarem um email conscientizando sobre o candidato democrata.

Além da campanha em um site, Facebook e YouTube, o projeto produziu um dos vídeos mais vistos e comentados de toda a eleição: Sarah Silverman convocando os judeus. A estimativa é de que o The Great Schlep tenha gerado 342 milhões de impressões na mídia.
