After Testing, AMC Commits to Targeted TV


NEW YORK (AdAge.com) — Behavioral targeting has long been a strength of the web for aligning advertising with consumer preferences, but what about TV? Rainbow Media's movie-themed cable network AMC set out to test targeting last year via a research tool called AIM, or Audience Identity Metric. It paired advertisers with psychographically targeted film packages that went beyond "young-male action-movie fan" or "female romantic-comedy lover." Now the network is expanding its commitment beyond the testing phase, with a new advertiser, Shell-Pennzoil, onboard.

Foram 15 dias de votação e o recorde de participação desde que comecei a pesquisa “Em qual agência brasileira você gostaria de trabalhar?”. Exatos 3405 votos, um aumento de mais de 60% em relação ao ano passado.

Dessas 3405 pessoas, 45.43% disseram só trabalhar com publicidade. Outros 36.79% responderam que estudam e trabalham com publicidade. Já 12.20% só estudam publicidade. E apenas 5.58% disseram não ter nenhuma relação com publicidade.

Pelo terceiro ano consecutivo, a AlmapBBDO fica na 1º colocação. É a única diferença gritante do ranking, já que o restante fica bem próximo na preferência dos votantes.

Comparando os resultados de 2008 e 2009, algumas diferenças merecem destaque: A Gringo, que no ano passado ficou em 8º lugar, desta vez pulou para 2º posição. A África caiu de 2º para 5º lugar. Outra subida grande foi da Y&R, de 10º para 6º lugar.

Das agências desse novo ranking, cinco não estavam presentes entre as TOP20 no ano passado: CUBOCC na 10º posição, Loducca em 11º, AG2 em 14º, centoeseis em 18º e Wunderman em 19º lugar.
