Posted in: UncategorizedQuentin Tarantino e Robert Rodriguez pensarem em todos os detalhes para deixar o filme dois-em-um “Grindhouse” com a cara daquelas sessões de cinema da década de 1970. As atrações duplas, geralmente filmes trash de baixo orçamento com violência e nudez gratuitas, eram divididas por diversos trailers, geralmente de filmes trash de baixo orçamento com violência e nudez gratuitas. Essa era a deixa pra pausa do banheiro.
Para entrecortar “Planeta Terror” e “À Prova de Morte”, Tarantino e Rodriguez criaram uma série de trailers falsos e convidaram diretores amigos, como Rob Zombie e Eli Roth, para comandar a brincadeira. Eles não só filmavam esses filmes-dentro-do-filme, como também produziam cartazes e outros materiais de um longa que nem sequer existiria.
“Werewolf Women of the SS”, “Don’t”, “Thanksgiving” e “Hobo With a Shotgun” são alguns deles (veja todos aqui), mas o mais famoso foi “Machete”, uma espécie de Charles Bronson mexicano, personagem concebido por Roberto Rodriguez exclusivamente para o ator Danny Trejo. O que era pra ser só um trailer falso, acabou ficando sério, e vai virar um filme longa-metragem em 2010.
Para o seu “Inglourious Basterds”, Quentin Tarantino resolveu repetir a brincadeira, e criou um filme dentro de um filme que nunca vai existir, além do trailer precedendo a exibição da atração principal. A diferença é que dessa vez a The Weinstein Company (antiga Miramax) foi mais esperta, e está usando o vídeo como um viral para promover a estréia do filme, o de verdade, no dia 21 de agosto nos EUA e 23 de outubro no Brasil.
“Nation’s Pride” conta a história (ou pretenderia contar) do sniper alemão Frederik Zoller. Na verdade, não passa de um filme-propaganda feito por Joseph Goebbels, o chefe de propaganda nazista durante o Terceiro Reich. “Nation’s Pride” tem direção de Eli Roth, que em “Inglorious Basterds” faz o papel do sargento Donny Donowitz.
Para tornar a brincadeira real, até a Apple está colaborando, com uma página “oficial” do filme trazendo o falso trailer em diversos formatos. Todos os truques de edição de trailers atuais estão lá, incluindo o narrador de voz embargada.
