Savanna Cider: Savanna Virtual Comedy Club

Savanna Cider Digital Ad - Savanna Virtual Comedy Club

Savanna Cider launches the #SavannaVirtualComedyBar to support comedians and give South Africans much-needed comedic relief in a time of Corona.

With cancelled gigs and closed bars, the cider is providing income to the country’s comedians and rallying them to administer the medicine of laughter to the people.

South Africa was very quick in implementing extreme lockdown measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. With the sale of alcohol banned, bars closed, and gigs cancelled, lockdown, although absolutely necessary, is having a dramatic effect on the country’s comedy scene. It’s always been Savanna’s mission to support and nurture comedic talent, but they are ramping up their efforts in response to the times. The Savanna Virtual comedy Club offers a virtual stage from which the country’s comedians can minister to people at a time when they are craving connection, entertainment and yes, a good dose of humour.

The #SavannaVirtualComedyBar will consist of two elements – the weekly Bar Nights and Comedy Specials. The weekly Bar Night events, which will be hosted on Zoom, will allow people to connect with their friends and have a drink, while interacting with two comedian hosts or ‘barmen.’ Comedy Specials will be run every two weeks and will star nine different comics These will be shown on Savanna’s YouTube channel and will be streamed on Savanna’s social channels, @savannacider.

The first Weekly Bar Night will be held on Thursday 9 April and will feature some of SA’s biggest names in comedy as well as a bevy of newcomers.

Audi: #coloursofhope

Audi Integrated Ad - #coloursofhope

In the biggest COVID-19 hospital in Moscow, paramedics have to work in medical overalls and masks, which makes them completely unrecognisable. To identificate each other, they come up with a solution: red for doctors, yellow for nurses.

Audi Russia and Leo Burnett Moscow found that fact and decided to make acknowledgment to all medical workers. Audi changed the colors of their logo and became a volunteer brand. They provided their car fleet which could be used by any medical worker from COVID hospital.

Audi calls up all brands in the country and beyond to support this movement, change their logo and provide medical workers with any possible help.

This movement #coloursofhope could be adopted by any socially responsible brand or company. With the help of this colour code any medical worker could find brands in social media that are ready to help.

Many global brands have recently changed their logos by separating logo elements to promote social distancing. We have rearranged logos of those brands and took the initiative to a whole new level: encouraging people to adopt pets from the shelter. After all social distancing concerns only humans, while pets need our support and we all do need a real friend in those challenging times.
