Colorado Department of Transportation: Breathalyze Before You Drive

Let’s face it; we’ve all done something stupid after a few drinks. Texting an ex. Dancing on a table. Hot tubbing in dress-shoes. But the dumbest thing you can do is get behind the wheel when you shouldn’t. You don’t always know how a few drinks can affect your ability to drive. Fortunately, there’s a pocket-sized way to know your blood alcohol content with one simple blow. For their 2019 DUI prevention campaign, Amélie with the help of the Colorado Department of Transportation capitalized on these personal breathalyzers as a DUI prevention tool. Maybe we can’t stop you from waking up next to a man in a squirrel suit, but we can keep you from driving impaired. Using a crude animation style and drinking situations that are all too familiar for some, we put out a multi-media campaign that encouraged Coloradans to do one smart thing, breathalyze before they drive.

Zagreb Child and Youth Protection Center / Ministry of the Interior: Behind the door

These days, we are all focused on the symptoms of COVID-19, but under the guise of quarantine other sicknesses come to light. We want to encourage people to pay attention to these “symptoms” as well – shouting, crying, breaking noises etc. The doors of all institutions that would otherwise recognise and report various forms of violence against children are unfortunately closed. That is why we invite all people to slightly open theirs and pay attention to the children in their vicinity.

Held around the world every October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month is helping to increase the care and support for information, early detection and treatment of this disease. Each year there are 1.38 million new cases and 458,000 deaths from breast cancer (IARC Globocan, 2008). Breast cancer is by far the most common cancer in women, both in developed and developing countries. Current knowledge about the causes of breast cancer is insufficient, so early detection remains the cornerstone of the fight against this disease. When detected early, a proper diagnosis is made and treatment is available and the chances of cure are high. On the other hand, when it is detected late, it is rare that a curative treatment can be offered. Most deaths (269,000) occur in low- and middle-income countries, where the majority of women with breast cancer are diagnosed in advanced stages due to lack of awareness of early detection and barriers to access. health services. Óptica Billi is a chain of opticians stores in Venezuela that joins this campaign inviting women to fine-tune on sight, take the self-examination and not miss those early signs that could save a life.
