Foreign Firms Buying Their Way Into U.S. Via MA

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) — Money is flowing into the U.S. agency landscape again, but one group of traditional funders has been largely absent from recent deals: the Big Four holding companies. Instead, adland's M&A chatter has been dominated by names like Dentsu, Cheil, LBi and even Hearst. The shift is driven by foreign buyers' need to break into the U.S. and the media sector's desire to break into new businesses — and their willingness to pay top dollar to do it.

Too Many Shops, Not Enough Business

When it comes to the ad industry, the basics of supply and demand seem to be permanently suspended. There are too many agencies chasing too few dollars.

General-Market Shops Snatching Up Hispanic Business

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) — After years of trying to convince the mainstream world of the size and importance of the Hispanic market, Hispanic agencies are finding that one group has started to listen: general-market shops. Pressured by cost-cutting clients, general-market agencies are taking on Hispanic shops for a bigger share of the fast-growing Latino market.

Give Shops More Credit for Work That Bridges Digital Divide

Of course there's always room for improvement, but when it comes to our digital capabilities, give agencies a little more credit. We're long out of beta.

WWF | Space Monkey
