Red Bull | Soapbox Racer

There’s More to the Dipstick Than Meets the Eye
Posted in: UncategorizedFacebook Ads: Getting The Bang Out Of Your Pixels
Posted in: UncategorizedUpon reasearching Facebook ad case studies for a few clients, I have happened upon a few consistent strategies that you should take a run with. As a USA Today article states, many companies large and small are taking advantage of how this vehicle turns interaction into word-of-mouth. It is extremely cost efficient if used correctly.
1. Be part of the medium. This is a social networking hub, so treat it as such. Just placing advertising banner ads is a poor use of this medium. Think about integrating into the experience. For example, if you are an auto company, create an ad that appears to be created by an enthusiast. It doesn’t have to be slick, just engaging.
2. Too clever kills the click. Copy should be attention-getting, short and to-the-point. This is not the time for brain twisters.
3. User generated image. Images of people and that appear to be user-generated get great clicks. It seems that people are in face scanning mode to see who they know and who is doing what, so take advantage of that.
Those are just a few tips I’ve found that have proven successful. If you think about the medium foremost and how people use it, you are headed down the right road. Get the most out of your 80 x 110 pixels–Happy Facebooking!
